Toji brought Renka with him, to the house where he used to live together with Megumi's mother. He promised the cursed one to talk about the red spider lilies, but due to the recent event, Toji ignored everything and just walked into his house without even paying attention if Renka was following him or not. Renka could tell that Toji was feeling down, maybe he misses Megumi, or it could be his wife.

Whatever the case, the cursed one planned to leave Toji alone for a while, because he doesn't know how to comfort a sad person. So going inside the house is not an option, so Renka decided to stay outside the gate. He sat down and looked at the blue sky, wondering if the flowers are feeling okay. As Renka was lost in thought, he didn't hear or notice someone approaching him, not until the individual spoke to him.

"What are you doing sitting here, do you live in this house?" The man's voice drew Renka's attention.

The cursed one looked at the person who was speaking to him, realizing that he had made a mistake. He was supposed to keep his eyes closed, but he ended up forgetting and that man probably saw the red color in his eyes. In a panic, Renka ran inside the residence, hoping to find Toji to talk about the mistake he made. Since he wasn't paying much attention, he didn't notice Toji standing in front of the fusuma, so he ended up bumping into him.

Renka hit his nose quite hard with Toji's exposed muscular chest, this time he actually felt pain, and the reason might be related to why the red spider lilies suddenly fell silent. Painfully, the cursed one touched his nose, then looked up to meet Toji's gaze.

"I feel like I bumped into a rock, how can you have such a hard chest?" Renka couldn't help but complain, especially since he never felt any kind of pain in his entire life.

"You should pay more attention to where you are going, after all, you are an adult now." Toji touched Renka's head.

"I made a mistake, there was a man standing at the front door, I accidentally made eye contact with him. I'm pretty sure he saw the color of my eyes." Renka normally doesn't show much of his emotions, but this time he was expressing more feelings.

"A man? What did that man look like?" Toji had a vague idea of who that person might be, but still, he wanted to be one hundred percent sure.

"The color of his hair was yellow." This was the only thing Renka saw clearly, as he didn't pay much attention to the man.

Hearing Renka's words, Toji's suspicions were confirmed; Zenin Naoya, who used to live in the eastern village but moved away. The obnoxious man who always came to visit Megumi, but that was just a pretext to see Toji.

"Go inside the house, I'll take care of everything else." Toji's face darkened as he said those words, making Renka feel worried.

The cursed one had never seen Toji make that face before, it was like he was a completely different man. The whole time, he only saw Toji's kind face and demeanor, making Renka believe that he only behaves that way towards him and Megumi. That the real him is probably a very different person from that kind man he seems to be, or at least he thought so. But even though Renka felt that way, he decided not to obey Toji and followed him without getting caught.

He moved closer to the gate, trying to listen to the conversation on the other side. Renka was curious as to what Toji was going to talk about with this man, and luckily he was able to listen in on the conversation.

"Wasn't it your plan to sell the cursed one to the Zenin clan?" Naoya couldn't help but ask, as Toji told him a different story to what he did.

"Did you really come here to talk about the past? If you did, go back to where you came from." Toji wasn't interested in talking about that topic, especially now that Renka is currently at his house.
