Camilla's Birthday

Start from the beginning

"When's that?" Holiday never knows military time, of all things.

"Sorry, 6:00."

"I think it's cute when you call everything by military time."

"You think everything I do it cute, Adam."

"Well, of course I do..." Adam smirked. "You know you love me."

"I do." I rolled my eyes as he kissed me on the cheek.

"Camilla, can we talk?", he whispers in my ear.

"Okay."

We walked back to my room.

"What is it?"

He looks me directly in the eyes. "Were you crying?"

"What?"

"Were you-"

"I heard what you said."

"Were you, though?"

"Why?"

"You seem it."

"I'm fine, Adam. I need to head off to mainland for-"

"Cam!" Adam took my hands. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm fine."

"That's a flat out lie."

"I don't want to get worked up over this, Adam. I have to get to practice." I jerked away from him and walked back to the living room. "I'll see you guys later."

"Bye, Cam, have fun!"

"See ya, Cam!"

Adam POV:

I walked into the living room. "Guys, something's up with Cam."

"What do you mean?" Holiday looked at me, confused.

"She's acting strange. I could tell in her eyes that she had been crying, but she denied it." I sighed. "What do you think happened?"

"How am I supposed to know?"

Badger and I looked at Holiday with a 'because you're a girl' look on our faces.

"Woah, just because I'm a girl means that I know everything about every female out there? Seriously!"

Camilla POV:

"Hey, guys!"

"Hey, Cam! Happy birthday, by the way!"

"You-You remembered?"

Phoebe smiled. "Of course I did! 257, right?"

"Yeah."

"Something wrong?", she asks with concern.

"No, I was just not having the best day. You- Thank you, Phoebe."

"No problem! Now, let's get to practice!"

**********

Camilla POV:

"See ya next week, Phoebe!"

"Bye, Cam!"

"C'mon, Hovie!"

I rode Hovie back to Neverland. I jumped off and walked inside. "Hey, guys!"

"Hi, Cam!"

"Hello!"

"Hey, babe." Adam kissed me on the cheek. "How was practice?"

"Pretty good. I still don't understand why no one else want to do J-ROTC."
