Princess Justice (Part 3)

The next morning in school...

School has ended for another day. While talking to Alya and Nino, Marinette sees Adrien from the corner of her eyes coming towards them. She shyly lowers her head.

•Alya: (shakes her) „Psstt girl, Adrien is coming this way.“

•Marinette: „Yeah, yeah I know.“

•Adrien: „Marinette,hi!“

•Marinette: „Hi“

•Adrien: „Do you think we could...talk for a few minutes?“

Marinette looks at both Alya and Nino.

•Alya: „Girl, don´t look at me, you don´t need my approval“

•Marinette: (unsure) „Well, I suppose, we could.“

•Adrien: „Good,come on.“, he says and takes her by the hand. Marinette is suprised. He is holding her hand, I repeat he is holding her hand. Marinette is looking confused at Alya while Adrien takes her away.

•Nino: „Wasn´t she mad at him?“

•Alya: „Nope. She never was and never will.“

•Nino: „But I thought Adrien did something to her...“

•Alya: „He never did. He called me last night and explained the situation. It was Lila. She lied,AGAIN. She wanted to make Marinette hate Adrien. How stupid are we to even believe what her mouth says? God!“

While Alya and Nino are talking, Adrien takes Marinette somewhere so they can talk without getting disturbed. He leaves her hand and turns around to face her. Marinette´s face still glued on the ground. „God this is so akward. What should I say to him? What does he want to talk about?“ , Marinette keeps thinking.

•Adrien: (clears throat) „So, ehmm I wanted to talk to you about...yesterday. About what happened in school.“

•Marinette: (nervous) „You are?“

•Adrien: „Yes. Look, Alya told me what happened after you left and it´s not true.“

•Marinette: „What´s not true?“

•Adrien: „About what you think I told Nino about you? It´s a lie. Another lie from Lila.“

•Marinette: „Hmm so Tikki was right“.

•Adrien: „What did you said?“

•Marinette: (akward) „Oh, eh nothing.So it was Lila lying again?“

•Adrien: „Yes and I don´t know what the reason was of her to lie again .“

Marinette keeps staring at him.

•Adrien: „I´m gonna talk to her.“

•Marinette: „Wait, Adrien... I am sorry.“

•Adrien: (curious) „Sorry for what?“

•Marinette: „For believing her. I know that she keeps lying everytime and I was stupid enough to believe what she said to me. I am so stupid“

•Adrien: „Don´t you ever say that. You are smart. And I am the one who´s sorry. I am kind of the reason you were akumatized yesterday.“

•Marinette: „ No, Lila is the one who should be sorry. And I should have guessed you didn´t say those things about me. You never would say anything like that.“

Adrien keeps thinking about what she revealed to him yesterday while being under the influence of the akuma.

•Marinette: (nervous) „I mean we are....good...friends right?“

•Adrien: „Eh, yes, yes we are.“

Marinette smiles to him and then lowers her head again. God, when will she ever be able to tell him that he is so much more than a friend to her? I guess not today.

•Adrien: „So are we good?“

•Marinette: „We always were.“

Adrien smiles. He gets closer and gives her a big hug. Marinette is taken by

suprise. God why does he have to be so cute? And that aroma of cologne he has.... so dreamy. She could stay like this forever.Then he leaves the hug and stares right into her bluebell eyes. He knows how Marinette is really feeling about him. Still he isn´t sure about his feelings to Ladybug and Marinette and he still needs time.

•Adrien: „See you tomorrow then?“

•Marinette: „Yes, see you tomorrow.“, says and Adriens leaves.

While walking away, Plagg comes out of his jacket.

•Plagg: „So, why didn´t you tell her about what she revealed to you yesterday?“

•Adrien: „No Plagg, I couldn´t just bring that up. We just cleared things out. I am

glad that she and I are good. But about Lila, she and I will have a talk tomorrow. This has to stop“

•Plagg: „Ok, so when will you talk to Marinette about this?“

•Adrien: „I´m not sure. I´m still a little unsure and confused about my feelings for both Ladybug and her I guess. Sure, I always felt a connection with Marinette, there is something about her I can´t explain, but it´s still very early to tell. It doesn´t bother me about how she feels about me,who knows maybe in the near futureI will know. But right now (he says and stops walking, turns around to see Marinette

laughing with Alya and Nino) we need time. Time will tell....“
