Chapter 4: ODM Gear Training

Third POV
As everything was going according to plan, when Y/N and Annie went inside of Shiganshina District. Y/N saw the Eldians running and screaming in fear.

The Female Titan screamed as planned but the Mixed Titan was looking around.

Y/N: 'Why can't I do it? ... Why can't I do it!?'

Y/N kept on looking at families being separated and people beginning to get killed by the Pure Titans.

Y/N started to lose his breath

Y/N: 'I can't. They are all dying because of us'

Y/N: 'Yes you can Y/N'

Y/N: 'But how can I? It just...doesn't feel right.

Y/N: 'This is what you signed up for. For your friends. Your family. For yourself.'

The Mixed Titan instincts kicked in and he screamed louder than the Female Titans screamed. In response to this, more Titans started to arrive inside the Shiganshina District.

Y/N started to breathe heavily and he signaled Marcel and Lara to come in and destroy anything inside Shiganshina District.

Moments later, the Marley Warriors blended with the refugees as humans and they regrouped in a refugee camp in Wall Rose.

Y/N: Are you all okay?

Y/N said to his friends

Everyone nodded and they all started to stare at Y/N

Y/N: What's with the eyes?

Marcel: Sorry about that but we all saw what happened to you when you went inside Shiganshina District.

Y/N: What about it? Everything went smoothly as planned

Reiner: Yes but except...

Annie: You hesitated.

Y/N looked down on the ground in silence

Pieck: Why resist Y/N?

Bertolt: We all came here to do our mission and from everyone here right now, I didn't think that you would be the one who would hesitate

Y/N: I know I know. I just still felt fazed from what happened to us from that Titan. That's all. Take my word for it. I have no doubts about doing this mission whatsoever. I came here to exterminate the Devils in Shiganshina and retake the Founder. From this point on, I won't hesitate to do anything for this mission or for any of you. I promise

Lara grabbed Y/N's shoulder

Lara: We trust you Y/N, right guys?

Everyone nodded their heads and accepted what Y/N said

Year 847
The Marley Warriors have joined the 104th Training Corps so they could join the Military Police to learn more information about the royal family and who wields the Founder.

Keith: Hey you maggot!

Keith says to Y/N

Keith: What's your name!?

Y/N salutes

Y/N: Sir, I am Y/N L/N from Trost District, sir!

Keith: Oh yeah? You seem like a complete waste of everyone's time! Your lucky Trost District hasn't gone down or else YOU would've been eaten!

At the training ground the next day

Keith: It's aptitude test time, so listen up! There is no place for you here if you cannot perform! Fail and be shipped to the fields!
