 five      months     later

The sound of a pencil lightly dancing on a page echoed throughout your domain. Furrowing your brows, clearly deep in concentration, you sketch the design of the new Scouts soldiers uniform. It had to reflect change, growth, and modern times in some way. Through your costume, you had to show just how much things have changed since last season.

You were hardly nice to yourself when it came to designing, however. Like it's often said, you were your own harshest critic. Even if someone told you a million times that the design was fine, you weren't satisfied until you thought so yourself. In fact: it had to be more than fine. It had to be perfect.

You yawn, putting down the pencil. It was dark in your work quarters, seeing as it was pretty late at night. The only thing that illuminated you was a small desk lamp. It's battery was almost dead. You pick up your phone, checking the time.

'Shit, it's almost 10. Can't believe I stayed here this late, and I still have nothing to show for it.'

Though, you were determined to finish this design. You were being counted on to make the show come to life. That kind of pressure couldn't be good for anyone, but you were certain you could handle it.

You rest your hand against your cheek, your elbow propped up onto the table. You continue to sketch. Eraser shavings began to pile up on the little desk. You blow them away, sighing.

Knock, knock.

You look up, your concentration being broken. You'd thought everyone had gone home already. You didn't expect anyone to be here, especially at this hour. You shouldn't even be here yourself.

"Come in!" you yell. The door bursts open, and your gaze remained fixated on the door. You smiled as you realized who had come to visit. "Mikasa, I didn't know you were still here."

Mikasa stood in the doorway, smiling her beautiful smile. Her eyes were bright, though she was lacking energy. You noticed she was carrying a takeout bag, and two drinks. She waved the drinks lightly, trotting her way inside.

"I can't believe you're working this late! What the hell?" she says. Despite Mikasa's character on the show being more calm and motherly like, she was actually quite the opposite in real life. She was very vocal about her opinions, she partied hard, she drank and smoked occasionally. Though, she was still motherly like.

"Yeah, got caught up in the moment, sheesh. Sorry about that. Why're you here?" you ask, slightly worried for her. She sets down the drinks on your desk, then sets the takeout down on the floor. She peers over your shoulder, observing your work.

"Mmm, Eren told me to check on you. Annie did too. Actually..." Mikasa tapped her chin. "Everyone was kind of worried for you. You haven't come out of here in a few hours, not even to pee."

You smile, glad that your co-workers were kind enough to care for you. Through your time working on the set of Attack on Titan, people had grown fond of you, and you of them. You'd made friends quite easily, as people on this show were eager to meet you. You specifically clicked with Mikasa, though. Annie came in close second.

You found it funny, though. Mikasa and Annie had seemed pretty close on set, though once they'd gotten on camera, they acted like total strangers. It really just went to show how amazing these actresses really were.

Their personalities were far different than the ones they'd played on screen. They were both fun and outgoing.

"You talked to Eren today?" you ask. Mikasa nods.
