"Ling Qian? Ling Wei wrinkled his brows and looked at his younger brother that's currently occupying his bed, "Why are you here?"

"I'm home. Didn't mom tell you?"

Having been accustomed to seeing the short haircuts of his classmates that complied with the strict rules of the military academy, Ling Wei felt like it was an eyesore suddenly seeing Ling Qian's unruly, shoulder-length hair.

"I heard you were expelled."

"Yeah."

His uncaring tone angered Ling Wei, who was very strict towards both himself and others.

If the person before him wasn't the beloved son of his adoptive parents, and the future true heir to the family, Ling Wei would have been tempted to opened his mouth and curse.

But all he could do was to suppress his anger and ask him, "Have you thought about what kind of situation you've put mom and dad in when you did this?"

A powerful senior military family that's always in everyone's line of sight hates nothing more than rumours and gossip. It does more damage than a laser gun.

Seeing Ling Wei's scowl as he questioned him like an older brother, Ling Qian's careless and nonchalant expression receded and he got off the bed.

"Now, I should be the one asking you regarding this. Brother."

Ling Qian walked closer towards his brother as he posed the confrontational question.

Compared to his brother Ling Wei, who is three years his senior, the eighteen-year-old Ling Qian may seem delicate, but is in fact quite tall. Many people are fooled by the captivating smile he always has on his face, but if he were to stand side by side and compare, his physique definitely surpasses most of his peers.

His second younger brother stood before him harbouring a sense of danger, his imposing manner made Ling Wei feel uncomfortable.

Although it's not the same commanding look that his adoptive father has, but the feeling of being threatened by his younger brother was enough of an annoyance.

Even though it's his brother that he only gets to see once a year, but for Ling Wei, the feeling that he gets is a complex and incongruous mixture of familiarity and strangeness.

"Ask me? What do you mean?"

"If it wasn't for you and your lack of concern for mom and dad, getting involved in that disgraceful scandal, I wouldn't have had to beat up my classmate, severely injuring him, and end up getting expelled."

The information Ling Qian revealed was quite shocking.

Ling Wei stared at his brother in shock,

"Me?"

That's impossible, Ling Wei was always strict with his self-discipline, and would never do anything to damage the reputation of his parents.

"What disgraceful thing have I done?" Ling Wei's face became serious as he faced Ling Qian's accusation.

The way that Ling Qian stared at him, it was like a military officer's icy glances at some traitorous spy, "Stop trying to hide it, you know what filthy things you've done at the academy, I've even got the video footage. If I wasn't trying to get this video back, and to protect mom and dad, I wouldn't be in this situation."
