"I can give you guys a ride--" Sunwoo began.
Changmin beamed the most convincing beam he could. "Oh, really! That's so sweet of you, Sunwoo--"
"Hold on, sweetheart. I'll give you a ride on one condition." Changmin sighed hearing this. Sunwoo, on the other hand, started to smirk once again. He pointed at Changmin. "I get to take you on one date whenever I choose to, and later I get to take you home. Just the two of us."
Changmin frowned and turned to Chanhee. "We really can't just walk?" Chanhee shook his head. Changmin sighed then turned to Sunwoo. "Okay, deal." Sunwoo smiled and motioned for the three to join him inside the carriage.
It was a carriage seated enough for four people, though if you'd like you could squeeze in another two, or another four if everyone sat on each other's laps. Of course that'd be improper etiquette. Plus, the elites had multiple carriages, so there was no need. Save the squeezing and sitting on laps for the commoners. To spare anyone any discomfort, especially Eric, Chanhee took the seat next to Sunwoo. Changmin took the seat across from Sunwoo so that Eric could sit farthest away from him. Changmin would've liked to take Eric's spot, but knowing Sunwoo, Eric would be uncomfortable from the burning glare that Sunwoo would've given him if he sat directly across from him. Meanwhile, Sunwoo couldn't have it any other way. Of course he'd like for Changmin to sit next to him, but he was also fine with Changmin sitting directly across from him. He could watch Changmin's pretty face the entire ride without straining his neck (though, he'd strain his neck any day for Changmin). So Sunwoo sat with his signature smirk on his face in silence. This seemed to annoy Changmin even more as he avoided Sunwoo's gaze by looking out the window, trying to enjoy the view, but the only thing he could think of was how badly he'd like to get to that damned shopping center right about now. It didn't matter though. Sunwoo was still taking him home. Just the two of them. And Changmin was not looking forward to it.
Ten minutes later, the carriage had pulled into the bustling square. Eric marveled at everything he saw, and clearly he hadn't seen this part of town before. Chanhee continued looking blank as ever. Changmin tried to distract himself by window shopping from the carriage. It didn't quite work considering he was still painfully aware of Sunwoo ogling his side profile with that smirk of his still plastered on his face. How it managed to stay on his face for the past ten minutes was beyond him. At least Sunwoo kept his mouth shut. Changmin did not want Eric to hear more of Sunwoo's toe-curling flirting. Relief washed over him when the carriage came to a stop and the ride was over, but at the same time not. If Sunwoo didn't speak a word on the ride here, he'd definitely have a lot to say on the ride back.
Changmin rises from his seat, immediately reaching for the door, not waiting for the coach to open it for him. He twists the handle only to find it locked. Changmin turns to face Sunwoo slowly. "Kim Sunwoo...what's the meaning of this." Changmin's tone grew dark, his voice deeper than it normally was.
"You were going to leave without saying 'thank you' weren't you?" Sunwoo smiled innocently. Sunwoo used his hand to cover the interior lock on the door.
"Kim Sunwoo, unlock this door right this instant." Changmin glared at a very amused Sunwoo.
"Smile for me and thank me. Then I'll unlock the door right away." Sunwoo challenged. At that moment, Changmin nearly lunged at Sunwoo.
Changmin took in a deep inhale, trying his best to calm himself. "Sunwoo, you know that I could kick down this door right now if I wanted to."
"I know. That's why if you kick down the door, that'll cost you another date."
Changmin groaned at Sunwoo's behavior. "Sunwoo, you know me well, don't you. I could just as easily refuse to go on a date with you, you know."
Sunwoo acted like he was thinking for a bit. "Yeah, but I know you well enough to know that you keep your word no matter what. So, how about that smile and thanks, hm?" Sunwoo leaned forward a bit, a triumphant smirk plastered on his face. He shouldn't have looked so triumphant because he should know well enough by then that Changmin knew Sunwoo just as well as Sunwoo knew Changmin. Chanhee and Eric shared a confused look. It was as if the two were completely invisible from Sunwoo and Changmin.
