Colorblind - Chapter One

Start from the beginning

Our walk home was put to a halt as Taehyung noticed the sunrise. "Stand in front of the wall," Taehyung eagerly directed. I laughed, shaking my head; I had Tan in my arms. We'd walked too far for his tiny legs, but I was happy to coddle our fur baby. Taehyung wasn't going to take no for an answer as he guided me exactly where he wanted me.

Laughing childishly as Taehyung mimicked the poses he wanted me to do, at one point suggesting I hold Tan 'Lion-King style', which I obliged before breaking down into a fit of laughter. I gently placed Tan on the floor for a second while I caught my breath. I must have looked like a hideous creature as I laughed so hard; that tears blurred my vision.

But as I collected myself, Taehyung's camera continued to fire away. This was where I was most happy. That niggling fear of doubt would fade. In moments like these. The only voice in my mind was about how much I loved Taehyung. "Angel..." He held out his hand for me. I picked up Tan and ran into his arms as we walked the rest of the way home.

The evening had rolled in. I crawled into bed, hoping to get to sleep early. So I could be fresh for my meeting tomorrow. I didn't have to be there till later in the day, but I always liked to explore the set and the layout to familiarise myself with the actors mostly.

"You don't start till Tuesday, right?" Taehyung asked. I cuddled closer up to Taehyung, letting my feet curl against the blanket as I savoured the warmth as it radiated through our bodies.

"I have a meeting Monday afternoon to see what actors I'm assigned to as the cast is pretty huge." I answered him. "Monday?!" Taehyung whined.

"That's too soon..." he sighed, his lower lip pouting. "Can't you Skype or video call. I just want one extra day, just you and me, before we face the real world." So he pleaded,

Taehyung's hand coiled around me as he continued on this long list of reasons why he wasn't ready to burst our newly moved in couple vibes. Before finally settling on one final statement.

"Please... Just one more day?" His voice lulled sweetly. My heart crumbled at the sight of his adorable, yearning gaze.

I despised that expression because it was clear that he would come out victorious no matter what he asked for

I despised that expression because it was clear that he would come out victorious no matter what he asked for. His brown eyes were trembling through his soft dark curls, eyes following me everywhere until I agreed to his conditions. The gentle curl of his lips pouted instinctively if the thought 'no' even crossed your mind.

The last bite of my sandwich, sure.

Cuddles? Okay.

An extra day off, if that's what he wants.

My kidneys; no questions asked.

"Fine, fine." I declared my defeat and emailed that I would go over the cast I was assigned to in an email. Knowing I'd be able to assist whoever they set to me. I could go over things Tuesday morning. Taehyung was right; I just longed to relish in our last few moments together.
