Chapter 18 - Double Date

"A double date?"

"Yeah! But, like with what Akira did to you and me, we could hide it from both of them. I tell Kureha that I want to hang out with her and you tell Akira."

"I see where you're going with this. But what about the clothing? It'll be hard to convince them to wear something fancy if we're just 'hanging out.' Especially Akira."

"I should be able to convince Kureha. You're pretty smart. You should be able to find a way to get Akira on board."

"And where exactly are we going to go for this double date?"

"I've already thought about that. How about we go back to Yakiniku Kyoshotei? Not for them but for us." You begin to turn red a little.

"Sure. That sounds lovely." You say with a slightly giddy grin. "When are we going to do this?"

"I was checking the weather earlier and say that tomorrow's weather will just as good as today's. So how about tomorrow at 4 pm?"

"Tomorrow at 4 pm." You repeat it so it sticks in your mind. "Got it."

"Well, that's the planning sorted. Now, all we have to do is text them." You take out your phone and Shino does the same. 

How will I convince him, though? You think to yourself. I don't remember him ever wearing anything fancy throughout the time I've known him. Apart from that time when he took me and Shino to Ginza for the first time. That's it! If I tell him that I'm trying to help someone out on a date he would probably wear something fancy as well.

You: I have a favor

Akira: wat did u do this time?

You: Shut up and listen

You: Silica is apparently going on a date with one of the guys from the Sleeping Knights

You: You know that guy Jun?

Akira: yea i remember him

Akira: wat does that have to do with me tho

You: Silica doesn't know what to do in these situations so she asked me for help

You: But I don't know much either, so I'm asking you

Akira: i get it

Akira: where are they meeting

You: I don't know many places so I chose the place you took me to with Shino. Yakiniku Kyoshotei

Akira: gotcha

You: We'll be there at 4 pm tomorrow. Wear something fancy to help out a bit. And bring some money

Akira: i have a part-time job at that time.

Akira: but my boss is cool so he'll probably let me off

Akira: see you then

"That was easy..." You mumble, slipping the phone back into your pocket. "What about you?"

"Just a second..." Shino finishes typing a message on her phone then turns to you with a smile. "Done! I told her we were going shopping for some fancy clothes. That will get her dressed for the occasion at least." I will never find out why girls find shopping so appealing.

"It's still pretty early," You begin. "Do you want to do anything?"

"Hm... I don't know. You haven't been here long and it would shame to send you home immediately."
