-"John, please! I told you, I'm just tired, I didn't mean to--."
-"Didn't mean to what?! What you said seemed perfectly reasonable to me!" He yells in kind, turning around, glaring at her. When he sees her face, though, his heart melts. He can't help it. She was tearing up again, and she was back to being her broken self from a few minutes ago. 'I don't understand what's going on with her.' "Sera..." He said, looking at her with sympathy. Then, for the final time that night, Sera rushed at him, and hugged him. She cried... and cried. She buried her face into his chest, and the ravenette just caressed her head, sharing the hug.
-"I'm so sorry! I don't know what's going on with my right now! I'm never like this, I promise I have as little idea as to what I'm doing as you!" she cried. John continues to caress her, occasionally patting her on the back.
-"It's okay, Sera." He answers, grabbing her by the shoulders so that she would look at him.
-"Is it, though? I know this isn't a positive outlook on things, but I'm never like this, and you know that as well as I do." She explains, moving around her arms and hands to try to aid in her explanation... unsuccessfully. John chuckles, and Sera looks at him in defeat. He just smiles at her.
-"Then we can find out together, huh?" He answers, gold eyes warm and comforting in her state of frustration. She sighs, wipes her tears, and nods. Sera pulls John over to the couch, and turns on the TV, opening up the built-in app catalog to boot up Netflix. 'Man this is so much better than the TV I was using in my apartment off-campus.' John thinks to himself. When Sera finds a movie she wants, John turns to her, getting her attention.
-"You know tomorrow's a weekday, right?" He asks, getting Sera to raise her eyebrow.
-"Yeah." She answers innoccently.
-"We have a test in Calc tomorrow, though. Also, isn't it not a good idea for you to stay here too late? This isn't my apartment anymore. You might get in trouble."
-"I already know everything..." she answers, but seeing the ravenette's judging look influenced her to change her answer, "I'll only stay for a little, is that okay?" She asks in her form of pleading. John just gives her a smile and turns back to the television.
-"That's fine. Not too long, though." John answers. Sera gives him a sad smile, and moves closer, leaning on his chest.

'Bro I have to go take a p*ss so bad! The bathroom is around the corner, but I don't hear them arguing anymore. I can probably go without them noticing... mostly.' Blyke thought to himself. He rushed out the door, but before he could enter the bathroom, he saw Seraphina and John just sitting on the couch together, and he could see tear streaks on Seraphina's face. He froze, and just turned around and went right back into his room. 'Damn it.'
~~~~~~~~~~
John chuckles at Blyke's awkwardness around him, while Seraphina shot up, looking shocked.
-"Do you think that he--." She asks, referring to their argument.
-"Partly, but I don't think he got the idea of anything, no. Especially with those stronger than him, he doesn't really want to interfere, so he should be fine. Should being the key word there." John answers. Sera nods at him, and proceeds to go back closer to him.
-"Is it okay if I...?" She asks, making sure it was fine with her best friend. John was surprised, but at the same time wasn't against the idea. He didn't want to make her feel any worse.
-"Sure, Sera." He said, pleasing her. She fully leaned against him, and he moved his arm up and around her. In all honesty, Sera didn't know when she started to store feelings for him, neither did she really care. Additionally, cuddling with him was something she would only ever imagine. Even if John didn't fully replicate her feelings, she was content that he was at least aware of them, and that's what she felt mattered.
==========
'I'm gonna be late to school again, damn*t.' John mentally chastises himself. 'Why does gelling my hair have to take so long?' He runs out the door and locks it, as Blyke had already left before him. 'At least he got the bathroom first for once.' He gets down to ground level and starts sprinting towards the school entrance. Suddenly something collides with his stomach. A fist. He's thrown back, and he drops his bag, flipping onto his feet, sliding while crouched, regaining his balance. He winces and looks at the aggressor. 'Why now?!' He thinks to himself.
-"Oh, is someone not too happy?" The aggressor asks, his green eyes glowing.
-"Let me go to class, Zeke." John says, getting up.
-"I'm afraid I can't do that. You see, now that you live here in the dorms, I thought you might need an introduction to the king around here." He says, readying himeself for a fight. 'Well, great.' John tells himself sarcastically. John picks up his bag with one arm, putting it over his shoulder, walking in a direction that would let him pass by Zeke... if he were to stay still. Zeke forms anger all around his face, and rushes at him. "Don't you mock me!" He yells, activating a portion of his ability. Noticing his speed, John takes the bag off of his shoulder. 'Offensive Stance.' He throws the bag at Zeke, which doesn't damage him, but rather obstructs his vision from John for a fraction of a second while he swats it out of the way. As soon as he swats it out of the way, John is already there, landing a punch at his shoulder, hoping to dislocate it while Zeke wasn't in defensive stance. The punch is unsuccessful in doing any permanent or temporary damage, and John clicks his tongue, resorting to his second option. He kicks Zeke in the gut before he can switch to defensive stance, and goes to poke the eyes while he was recovering from the gut kick. Zeke is too fast, however, and quickly recovers from the kick, dodging to John's right,where he was exposed. Instead of trying to stop his counter clockwise momentum mid-strike to block, he uses it to spin around and block with his left. When Zeke's follow-up punch lands, John can feel his left radius fracturing, and John is sent to the ground rolling. He uses his right arm to upright himself quickly, and dodges prematurely before he can even see if an attack is coming. Zekes next punch is barely deflected by John's broken left arm. While flinching, John goes to punch the nose this time. Zeke switches to defensive stance, his arms going up to his face in a block, changing color to a bismark blue. Realizing that going through with punch would definitely hurt him more than Zeke, he stops his punch right before it hits his arms, and kicks with his left. Although off balance, the kick lands, and John kicks off of Zeke. John shifts so that he doesn't fall on his broken arm, but lands a clean kick to Zeke's right kidney. John starts to slowly get up, but is grabbed by the collar. He can't do anything about it in his state, so he lets himself be picked up, groping at the aggressor's wrist.
"Why you little..." Zeke starts, ready to punch John. 'Man that kick may not have done much damage, but it sure as h*ll felt good.' Suddenly, a person's fist makes contact with Zeke's face, and Zeke flies off to John's right. He falls to the ground, but looks up to see who his savior was. A golden haired boy stands in front of him, panting.
-"Just back off, Zeke. You're not stronger than me, there's no point in even trying." Isen says. Zeke stands up, and is about to impulsively attack, but weighs his options.
After a stand off for what seemed like lasted for an eternity, Zeke stands down.
-"Tch." He vocalizes, walking away. "You can't protect that cripple from everyone, Isen."
-"Phew." Isen voices, turning to John. John by this point is p*ssed, hair messed up, left arm broken, clothes messed up. Isen lends out a helping hand to get him up. What surprises John the most isn't that Isen helped him, but the fear that is apparent in his eyes. 'I'm just a cripple, and I never told him about my ability, why would he be--' John stops mid-thought, getting up, smacking away Isen's hand, and pushing him up against the school wall.
-"Why did you help me?"
"Sometimes you have to follow your heart and not wait for knowledge."
