-"I'll explain later, I'm sorry! Please, I don't know if I have much time! Do you know where John is?" Her interest was definitely piqued when I mentioned John, but she answered.

-"I don't know. He usually goes out for a run at this time, and passes by here." How does she know that?

-"How do you know that?" She looked embarrassed.

-"I don't stalk him! Honest! I just noticed this because I usually walk back to my dorm around this time!"

-"Speaking of, where is Blyke? He usually walks with you, right?"

-"Oh yeah, he went out for a run early today, I don't know why. He always walks with me."

-"That's unusual then. I'll go look for him next. Thanks for helping!" She was surprisingly composed for seeing me for the first time in several weeks, let alone rushing to find where John is. I start to continue my search again.

-"Of course!" She waved to me, and I wave back.

I'll have to find Blyke then, next, he's been in contact with John, right? He at least knows who he is. I'm desperate at this point.

John POV

Meili and Ventus still seem to be shocked from me using an ability. This is my opening. After I used Ventus's ability, being conveniently Whirlwind, to escape from the two, I use Meili's ability, which I believe is Demon Claw, and head straight for Arlo. I strike directly at his face with my right arm, to which he does nothing. What? Suddenly Meili rushes up in front of me to block my attack, visibly confused as to how I'm using her ability. Damn, I guess I'm gonna have to beat the two before Arlo. She is easily pushed back by my attack, putting her off balance.

-"Who said you could interfere?!" I pull back my arm, and slash her with my left. Already being off balance, she blocks my attack, but her guard is broken. I transition into a kick with the back of my right foot, using the momentum of my left arm to accelerate my turn. The kick sends her flying off to the right, leaving Arlo open, but I know I'll have to deal with Ventus anyway, so I'll wait to deal with him.

-"Agh!" Meili groans in pain. Ventus rushes to Meili.

-"Meili!" Seeing that her injury is light, he pushes on to me. He runs at me, sending a whirlwind my way. I at first block it and let it consume me, but then use his own ability to create my own wind and redirect myself up and safely back down. Their gears are turning. They start to talk amongst themselves. I smile.

-"That did nothing to him!" Meili exclaims in surprise.

-"He's using both of our abilities. I don't know how, but he is."

-"He's dangerous, but if we coordinate our attacks, we might beat him." I entertain their conversation long enough for them to formulate a small plan. Seeing how they reacted to how I nullified Ventus's wind, Meili will probably be their main form of offense, while Ventus will be their support. This should be easy enough.

Suddenly, Ventus uses his wind to accelerate Meili towards me. Ha, knew it. I throw 2 blades of wind at Meili. One directly at her, and one a little to the right to force her movement to my left, since she'll probably dodge it. She does, probably worried about its strength, but Ventus had his line of sight blocked by Meili, so he only saw the blade of wind coming to his left. He dodges to the right, but is hit directly by the second one, and reels backwards in pain.

Meili being a little to my left, I shift into a blocking stance accordingly. She strikes with her left, as expected, and instead of blocking, I move to the right, only redirecting her strike. Using her momentum, I create some wind and use it to send her flying upwards, at least 2 or 3 stories into the air. Ventus notices this, starting to get up.
