-"That's what I thought." She responds.
-"How about that one? Call of Nature. It's got a dog, and Ford, ya know, from War Stars.
-"Sure, why not," she responds. She plays the movie, and I remember the soup.
-"Wahhh the soup." I rush over to the soup and, luckily, it's fine. "Phew, caught it just in time." I bring it off the burner, and pour a bowl for the both of us. I bring it over to the couch.
Hopefully we don't spill on the couch. Eh it'll be fine.
-"This is good, John! Great, even!"
-"Thanks, my dad taught me this because it used cheaper ingredients, making it a useful skill, and most of ingredients are replaceable."
-"Your dad is one heck of a dad."
-"Yeah," I remember everything he's done for me, including the basic cooking skills, "he is."
We finish dinner, and I do the dishes, letting Sera continue watching the movie. I put away the leftover soup for later lunches, and head back over, to see Sera lying down, taking up the entire couch.
"Move over, ya selfish human. I've gotta sit down, too."
-"How about... no."
-"Oh no you're not." I attempt to move her, to which she acts limp, making it hard to move her where I want. I eventually settle with shoving her head and upper back up, and slide right where they used to be. Her head plops back down, this time on my lap, to which I look down any smile at her.
"You're not even watching the movie, now!"
"Fineeee." She sits up, and crosses her arms, looking at me with feigned frustration. She cracks a smile, to which I ruffle her hair.
We watch the movie, and when it ends, I use my right hand to use the remote and turn off the tv. I start to move my left arm when I notice resistance. Sera had fallen asleep on me, again. Oh my god, again?! She did it on purpose, there's no way she accidentally fell asleep on me when I specifically said she's supposed to have the bed. I sigh, giving in. She's not getting away with this. There's no way I'm letting her do this again.

The Next Morning
Sera POV
I wake up to the smell of bacon and toast. Aw man John is the best. I get up and notice him in his school uniform. Oh yeah, it's a weekday.
-"Good morning sunshine! Hope you slept well, 'cause you're not getting away with that a third time." He looks at me accusingly. To that I just smile a groggy smile right back.
-"Yeah, didn't think so, but it was fun while it lasted." He raises an eyebrow.
-"Well, I got some bacon and toast ready for you, eggs are on the way. I've gotta head to school soon, unlike someone."
-"Hey, I'm still suspended, and no one knows I'm here, and if you don't mind, I'd like to keep it that way."
-"Okie dokie. Eggs are done." I'm gonna go gel my hair and head off, so you can use my shower one I'm gone." To that I look at him with attempted puppy dog eyes. He looks at me questioningly.
"What?"
-"I think you look better without the the gel. Could you leave it like that, just for today?"
-"But Seraa, I—." I decide to interject.
-"Pleaaasseeeeee." After a pause, he answers.
-"Fine. But just today, and just because this is your first day back."
