Once he gets a satisfactory amount of time making eye contact, he continues back to huffing from all his sprinting, but finally steadies his heart rate and breathing pattern. Now, he can finally go back to hearing his own thoughts. 'Thank god, looks like nothing's wrong.'
-"Sera?!" He yells happily, blatantly expressing his ecstasy, "What are you doing here? Don't you still have another week or so left in your suspension?" He asks. Sera responds with a shrug.
-"I do, but I guess someone once told me to do what makes me happy, and not to let myself be objectified by someone else, and I for sure was not enjoying my time at home experiencing just that, by my parents no less. I made sure my mom got the message. She won't be bothering me, anymore... Hopefully... Anyways, looks like you've been running, and you're 2 minutes late. Let's head inside!" She says, excited. John takes her luggage, and follow her into his apartment. 'When did I give her my keys?' He asks himself, watching Sera open his door with keys that weren't the ones in his pocket.
The two head inside, and John puts her luggage by the couch. She stands by her luggage, while the ravenette stands by the kitchen counter, awaiting words to come out of her mouth. He look at her worriedly, still not sure if anything bad had happened while she was away.
-"Oh, would you cheer up, nothing happened, I just thought I'd give you a scare on the phone." She said, metaphorically brushing it away with a slash of her hand. John immediately reacts.
-"Are you insane?! Do you know how worr—."
-"Hold on, one more thing." She interrups, dashing from the couch to the boy without her ability in less than a quarter of a second, just to tackle him against the counter, wrapping her arms around him in a hug. 'Ah sheeeittt my back...!' He exclaims mentally, wincing. He stands there, letting the girl squeeze the life out of him, before reciprocating the hug, remembering how badly he had wanted to see her again. When the two break apart, Sera begins blushing, feeling as if she had overstepped her bounds, which could be seen as true under certain perspectives. John ignores it, and confronts her about something he felt was a more pressing concern.
-"You're insane, you know that? You singlehandedly caused my heart to stop and beat at 140 bpm at the same time. Not only that, but you did it twice. One with the text, out of concern and surprise, or rather excitement, and now, because what the actual h*ll?!" He yells in frustration, hands on the back of his head. She giggles, enjoying the satisfaction from finally messing with the ravenette again.
-"Nice to see you again, too, John." She says as she moves back towards the couch. John just sighs, fingers on the bridge of his nose, and he moves closer towards her, away from the kitchen.
-"Ok, ok. Maybe I overreacted a bit, but you are still at fault here. You scared the h*ll out of me with that text. Why haven't you been online for the past few weeks? Your parents?"
-"Yeah, my mother didn't like how different I had become without her direct supervision. She also didn't like me wasting time talking to you. She deactivated my phone and credit service and removed my wifi to teach me a lesson. She tried to continue using me, similar to if not the same as from before you came to Wellston. She'd been giving me work non stop and had me interview for a job, all the while trying to convince me that it was my responsibility to do this." She explains.
-"That's unfortunate. You held up well, though, which might be expected from you." He responds, gesturing to her with his hands.
-"Sort of. I got tired of everything and how I was treated by her, I'm not property. It's actually thanks to you that I was able to muster up the courage to confront my mother."
-"Consider me proud. Give yourself some credit though, you definitely did that all by yourself, I was just lucky enough to be able to shove you in that direction."
