Surprisingly it's Derek who steps forward and puts his hand on the sheriffs shoulder. "WICKED came here once, whose to say they won't come back, some of us need to stay behind to protect Beacon Hills while the others leave." 

The thought of WICKED coming back here when we're not here to protect everyone sends a shiver down my spine.

 "Ok so we've got their general location, we have one vehicle unless Jorge finds a different one and way to many people, some people need to stay behind." "Why don't any of you stay behind?" Kira asks while looking at Newt. 

"Because we know what to expect in the scorch, we know what WICKED'S like and each one of us wants to kill some WICKED soldiers."

 Wait kill them??

 "Newt what do you mean kill them?" He turns to look at me. "I mean kill them what part of that sentence confused you?" I hear someone snicker but choose to ignore it.

 "We don't kill people, when we get to WICKED we can tie them up and then hand them over to the authorities." Minho laughs. "This shank isn't serious is he?"

 "I'm dead serious in my pack we don't kill people."

 "Well then that's going to be a bit of a problem isn't it, what do you plan to do about the cranks?"

 Sonya asks while walking towards me. 

"They're human we can knock them out." She let's out a humorless laugh. "Only an idiot would think the way your thinking. "

"Your little puppy pack isn't immune to the flare so if you got close enough to the cranks you'd probably get the flare and then we'd have to put you down." 

"How do you know we're not immune to the flare?" Lydia challenges. 

"There's really only one way to tell." Harriet says from where she's standing beside Brenda. 

"Let a crank bite you, if your immune then you only have a bite to worry about. However if your not immune then the flare will spread quickly throughout your body and then if you go bat shit crazy before we get to Thomas..."

 She trails off but we get what she's implying. We go crazy before we reach Thomas and they'll kill us. 

"Your no killing rule is going to get you all bloody killed in the scorch. Believe me none of us enjoy killing, but out there in the scorch it's kill or be killed. If we don't kill the people who work for WICKED then they'll kill us, if we don't kill the cranks before they get to us then they'll kill us."

 "Is it really like that in the scorch?" Newt looked at Liam and his expression softens a little. "For the most part yes. There's nothing good in the scorch Liam."

 "But there are people out there in the scorch? Not cranks but actual people?" 

Vince shakes his head and Minho does as well.

 "The people out there are worse then the cranks. Their all savages and they'd do anything, kill anyone just for some food or shelter." 

Ok right then, when we go into the scorch avoid people at all costs.

 How hard can that be? 

"I want to go." Liam says. 

"Liam you can't, you're still not fully in control, what happens if there's a full moon out there and you lose control?" Liam looks down. 

"Theo's been helping me...I haven't lost control in months." Lydia rounds on him. "THEO!? You've been with Theo?! Liam don't you know what he's done! He's pure evil how can you stand to be around him?"
