"No, he conveniently left that part out." Katara said. Sokka was standing as far away from Jet as he could in the small space.

"Fine, but even if he was Fire Nation, he was a harmless civilian." Sokka said, stalking over.

"He was an assassin Sokka," Jet said, pulling out a knife and stabbing it into a stump by his bed. I studied the knife. I was long with a slight curve. The handle was black with gold spikes on one side. At the top was a golden ring, which Jet twisted to reveal a vile filled with poison. It was nice, I wanted two. "See, there's a compartment for poison in the knife, he was sent to eliminate me, you helped save my life Sokka." Jet finished.

Sokka didn't seem to buy into Jet's story.

"I knew there was an explanation." Katara said, relieved.

"I didn't see any knife." Sokka said.

"That's because he was concealing it." Jet replied.

"Duh Sokka, why would anyone just carry their knives out in the open?" I asked. "I don't carry mine out like that."

"See Sokka, I'm sure you just didn't notice the knife." Katara tried to reason.

"There was no knife!" Sokka nearly shouted. "I'm going back to the hut and packing my things." With that he stormed out, leaving the rest of us alone. Jet stood up from the bed.

"Tell me you guys aren't leaving yet, I really need your help." He pleaded.

"What can we do?" Aang asked.

"The Fire Nation is planning on burning down our forest, if you both use Waterbending to fill the reservoir, we can fight the fires, but if you leave now, they'll destroy the whole valley." He said. Aang and Katara shared a look.

"We'll do it." Katara said. They left the tent and I got up to follow them, but a hand on my wrist stopped me.

        "Have you decided?" Jet asked.

"Yes, I'll stay with you." I said. He smiled and hugged me, lifting me off the ground for a moment before releasing me.

"That's great!" He said. I couldn't help but smile back.

        *Third Person POV*

That night, after the other's had fallen asleep, Sokka was awoken by voices outside. He recognized Jet's voice and instantly decided to follow them. He perched on the branch of a tree and watched as Jet and a few of his men pulled a large wagon with the barrels of blasting jelly out of the camp and toward the dam.

What are you up to? Sokka thought as he climbed to ground level and hid in the bushes right behind them on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the town and the dam.

"Now listen, you are not to blow the dam until I give the signal," Jet said, causing Sokka's eyes to narrow. "If the reservoir isn't full, the Fire Nation troops could survive." He said.

I knew it! I knew he was a monster.....Mari's going to hate this. Sokka thought.

"But what about the people in the town," The Duke inquired. "Won't they get whipped out too?" Jet stood in front of the little guy and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Look Duke, that's the price of ridding this area of the Fire Nation." He then turned to LongShot. "Now, don't blow the dam until I give the signal, got it?" LongShot nodded.
