"Well guess what we're doing!" I said gleefully. "Hey, Dastan doesn't have his licence, either."

"Mine has been magically renewed," Zelda grinned, holding up her card.

"Awesome! Lesson time!" I announced, clapping my hands. "Everyone--sit."

The twins and brother sat at the table along with me. I brought up the updated permit book and went over the rules of the road and everything else. They were smart, so I knew they would get it. Once that was done, I took them down to the DMV and made them take the test. Dastan passed, Preuss barely got by, and Perisa passed with flying colors. They got their pictures taken, their temporary cards given, and out the door we went and back home.

"You're going to have to retake the test at some point in California," I informed him. "Also, you need to get papers to become a citizen legally. They doin't exactly like aliens there."

He nodded. "I know, Mom. Thanks."

"Pip's here!" Perisa called gleefully and bailed out of the car before I had even stopped. The cousins hugged tightly with Pip crying.

"What's wrong?" Perisa asked her younger urgently.

"I thought it was all a dream!" the blond said, wiping away her tears. "I was so afraid!"

Isa smiled. "Last night, I heard a dog barking. I flew up to grab my sword and started reciting incantations only to get really scared when my sword wasn't there, and my incantations wasn't working. Then I remembered I was back home and started crying with joy."

Pip laughed. "I use to do that, too! I think Chloe still does..." She hugged her best friend and sighed. "I'm glad we're not there, anymore, and that you're here."

Perisa smiled. "Me, too. Hey, what're your parents doing?"

"Nothing, I don't think," Pip answered after some thought. "Want to come over?"

"Please!" Pip agreed, dashing in to grab her phone and call out where she was going. Preuss ended up tagging along to catch up with Will and Khris.

"My packing can wait," he told them.

They got onto the public bus and rode across the city to West Berlin where Pip's house was.

"Whoo-hoo!" Perisa laughed, hopping off the bus. "I forgot how much I loved it here."

Preuss was oblivious to the odd looks he got from his appearance. He now knew what Perisa meant when they were "one of the Zodiacs." What kid their age had white hair?

"Why do you still wear puppy ears?" Pip asked, leading the way down the street. "You're old enough to do your own hair, now."

Perisa shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe I'll change it to a ponytail later on in life. Maybe when I get married or have a kid. More mature, y'know?"

Preuss ran his fingers through his hair to get the locks out of his eyes. "All I know, is that I either want a bobby pin, or a hair cut."

Pip fiddled with her hair and handed him a black bobby pin. "Here. Why didn't your hair bother you before? It was that long when we left."

Preuss pinned back his hair. "Yeah, I couldn't see, then, either. The move gave me sight again. I don't know what, why, or how, but my eyes can see with correction. I'm going in for an eye appointment come Monday."

Pip launched herself into a Preuss Glomp. "You can see you can see you can see!!" the blond laughed, joyful. "You can see!"

Preuss laughed as well, putting an arm around her and sitting up. "Yes, I can see. Can we get up before we're trampled?"
