Morier reached her hands down to her stomach as a sickness churned inside her. She turned onto her side and pulled her legs up to her chest, a cocoon, she fought to clear her mind. Was there nothing she could do to force the images from her mind? Morier had been born a Demonic witch, her mother was a pureblood demon. Her father a caster. When she had come into existence she had been parted and evenly divided with her parents powers. Her brother who was six years older than her was pure demon. She never understood why his powers had not been divided.  Her breathing sharpened as she clutched onto herself, her mind was a static channel, distorted images flashed before her. Her little feet pounding down on the wooden floor as she ran from that house so many many years before, into the darkness that surrounded her world she didn’t stop, she didn’t look back as she went deep into the fading light covered forest, continuing on until she couldn’t breathe. Being hidden within the shadows now she collapsed onto the dirt every ounce of strength seeped into the Earth as she lay there. She was alone; silence filled up around her as she cried her eyes out of all water that could have been within her. She knew with everything in her, that her brother had been jealous of the power he did not withhold and wanted revenge for not being able to conceive what her father had possessed.

Stop it, make it stop. Her mind whispered to her. “I don’t know how…” she spoke aloud her voice was raspy. She pushed the memory as far back in her mind that was possible to her. And as if an unseen force was beneath her shoving her, she rose onto her feet and flowed out the door, bare feet met the snowy ground as she moved in the darkness that was her world. Her eyes lifted to the sky catching a flake fall from above she watched it as it danced the most graceful dance towards the forest floor. She reached out; her pale skin caught the moonlight as the blanket moved away. The flake fell into her palm, moving her hand closer to herself she looked at the curves and edges that made up the innocent flake. Her cold skin keeping the piece from melting on contact. She slowly lowered down to her knees as she dug her fingers into the pure whiteness, she forced a blink from her eyes but it wasn’t her eyesight failing. She looked outward in front of her, nothing but thick layering of snow for miles. She felt like she was skipping frames, the scenery jolted before her, in and out. She turned on her knees and slumped back onto the cool earth.  The sky was clear of clouds now. Scanning the abyss she met a single star with her gaze. Why was it all coming crashing down on her? Was it because her mind had nowhere else to wonder? No… “Damian…” she cried out, softly, almost silently. “I’m sorry.” The star gleamed brightly, it seemed as though it didn’t mind being alone.  She blinked again, her eyelids then surpassed her struggle. More vivid then the other it hit her.
