[y/n] pov

It had been a few days since my last walk and I decided to go on one today. This time though I'd stop at Sapnaps house. I reached the community house and I was about to turn to go to Sapnaps house but I saw something unexpected. In front of the nether portal was... my brother? He stood out in front looking for what I assumed was me. I assumed correctly because when I stepped out of the community house he pretty quickly recognized me.

"Devin?" I said.

"Hey sis." He responds smiling. He walked over to me and hugged me. When he retracted his brows furrow and he looked a tad nervous.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I have news and before I tell you you need to understand something." He said. I became concerned, what is going on?

"Okay... Is everything alright what's going on?" I said.

"[y/n], listen. I didn't tell you why you grew up on your own because it's a touchy topic for the family even if you're standing in front of me." He starts. "I'm sure you already know a little bit of how you were abandoned." He says. He wasn't wrong. When I was around six or seven years old, I was traveling with my family. I don't remember what for I just remember getting thrown off my horse and seeing some strange men yell at my parents. My mother saw me and told me to run, so I did. Not a minute later I heard blood curdling screams and the distinct sound a sword makes when it's pulled out of its sheath. After that I ran. I didn't stop other than to catch my breath for hours. I reached a house and collapsed. As it turns out that person was Philza. That was the last time I saw my parents. I had always assumed they were dead and witnessing what I did was traumatizing so when I declined the chance to see... or i guess meet them, quite a few people were surprised.

"I remember yea." I responded

"I was never told what happened because our parents didn't like to talk about it. Until a few days ago. I guess after they were ambushed guards came out and killed the assailants. Mom had told you to run and they couldn't find you after that."

"I don't understand, I heard screaming." I said.

"Mom screamed after seeing someone die. I don't blame her, imagine seeing a life a whole life whether it was good or bad but an existence being taken and cut down before your very eyes." He explained.

"Oh." I responded blankly. To my surprise sapnap walks in to the community house. Thank god. I needed him. I needed that feeling of security being around him gave me. He continued walking in and looked at me then he looked over and saw my brother.

"Hey Devin." He said cooly. "[y/n] what's going on?" He asked me.

"Devin has important news for me I guess. I'm finding out how my family survived." I told him.

"Oh, I understand. I can leave if it's too personal." He offered. I didn't want to have to process and hear all this on my own. I needed him to stay. I felt desperation grow in my stomach.

"No! I mean, no I want you here." I told him. He nodded then walked closer to us and stood next to me. "Devin you can continue." I told Devin. Devin nodded and went on.

"You have to understand when I came to find you it was because I wanted to meet you, not because I wanted something from you but because I figured it would be cool to have a relationship with you and for you to know I existed." Devin said.

"Devin what's going on?" I asked frantically. The more he said the more worried I became. He sighed.

"Now that they know you exist, and you are the oldest daughter, our parents have agreed on a business deal and part of that deal" he paused before continuing. "they've traded your hand in marriage."
