Small raindrops had began to trickle down the drivers side window.

Dream was surprised. It hadn't rained in months.

The rain reminded him of waves at one specific beach he had stayed in only a month or two before now, with specific people he awed to see again.

Dreams finger tips started tapping against the steering wheel as soon as his car stopped at the red light.

He found himself thinking petty again, looking over to the passengers seat. No one is there.

He's alone. He's been alone.

Am I acting selfish again?

Although Dream speaks to Sapnap and George every single day, he feels nothing. It isn't the same anymore. He wants it to be the same so bad, but now he's self aware. He's aware he can't bare without George's presence.

A sudden honk made him flinch.

"Fuck," he muttered under his breath.

His foot began to shake as he stammered for the gas pedal.

Sure, Dream and George were on good terms.

But they never spoke about what happened in Florida at all. Dream never brought it up though, since it was obvious George had no interest in talking about that.

It felt like a fever dream.

Dream wanted to convince himself George was too busy with family stuff, and that was one of the reasons there hadn't been a conversation.

Have I ever been this self centered?

He ran a cold hand through his damp, messy hair.

It hurt to know that this was his real reality.

Finally, Dreams car pulled into a long driveway.

The fence still stood around the front yard sternly, no paint in sight peeling from the rather large home.

He hadn't visited his mother since before George and Sapnap arrived.

Clumsily, Dream slammed the car door shut behind him, taking a minute to breath in the cold air and wet droplets.

It started to rain harder now, beating roughly against the tall house.

A few moments of hesitation later, Dream made his way up the short steps and up to the door.

He stared at the knob for a tough second, glancing to the window beside the door. The blinds quickly flew back down.

Dream couldn't help but smile.

He brought his clenched fist up to the door to knock, but the door flew open before he could. He was expecting his mother, but instead his little sister stood grinning widely.

"Clay? We weren't expecting you today."

Dream knew she tried to be serious, but it was obvious she was happy to see him.

"C'mere, idiot." He tugged her by the wrist and pulled her in for a short hug, which she gratefully accepted by wrapping her arms around his back.

"We missed you." She muffled into his sweater.

A smile tugged down at the corner of his lips. Relief.

Relief that his sister wasn't too angry with him about not visiting for too long.

"I missed you guys too."
