A/N: This chapter is split into two parts. The first part is in Newt's perspective and the Second is in Sophia's perspective. Hope you all enjoy!

Newt's POV

The thought of her sleeping in my room with me scared me, but the thought of her sleeping anywhere else scared me beyond words. Especially anywhere near Gally. I shook the thought from my head, I can't think about this right now. It's not the right time for this.. I sighed and trudged forward, I had to help set up for her introduction party tonight.

I met Alby and we started gathering firewood for the fire and some logs for everyone to sit on. "So," he started casually, "what was that with Gally earlier?" I glanced at Gally in the midst of our work and then turned to Alby, "It was nothing." Alby sighed and continued stacking wood. I shrugged my shoulders nonchantly and continued working as well.

We had just finished setting up for the party and the sun was sinking, slowly. I took a quick look at my watch, I'll have to get her soon. "Hey shank," a voice called out to me. I smirked and turned toward him, "what is it, Minho?" He sat on a log close to me, a grin lighting up his face. "You finished with your jealous fit?" I furrowed my eyebrows, "what are you bloody talking about?" He chuckled quietly, "you're going to stand there and tell me you're not jealous of Gally?" I opened my mouth to deny it, but sucked in a huge gulp of breath instead. Is that what it is, am I bloody jealous? Minho waved a hand in front of my face, "your silence is golden, really," he said sarcastically, "go get her, you shank. She can't be late to her own party."
I walked slowly back to my room, deliberating on my recent discovery of my own feelings. How the shuck did I not figure it out for myself? I groaned inwardly, I don't even know the bloody girl, how could I feel jealous over her?
"Newt?" I snapped my head toward her and met her eyes. The deep brown color caused my heart to skip a beat. I forced a quick smile, "ready? Guest of honor." I watched a smile light up her eyes, "why, of course I am." She looped her arm through mine, "show me the way."
When we arrived to the party all of the Gladers were there and the fire was roaring. I seen that Gally had set up a ring, probably to show off, and everyone seemed to be growing anxious with chatter. "Wow, I didn't think you guys had it in you." I looked at Sophia, eyebrow raised. She giggled quietly, "all of you Gladers are just so serious."
"Hey Sophia," Gally said suddenly, then looked at me dismissively, "shank." Sophia slapped his shoulder playfully, "be nice Gally, don't be such a shank." The use of our slang sounded so unnatural coming from her that I almost laughted, but the moment was bloody ruined when Gally spoke. "I'm impressed," he joked, "but I'd be even more impressed if you beat me in the ring." He raised his eyebrows at her and anger flooded my chest, "are bloody joking right now? Because it's not funny Gally." He shook his head and I tightened my hold on Sophia, looking at her with desperation. "You're not shucking considering this, are you?" She shook me off of her, "actually Newt, I am. I can take care of myself." My chest panged with hurt, ouch. I watched her gaze meet Gally's, challenge written in her expression. "You're on."
