Chapter 38

Winwin's POV

"Alright, how much time do we have again?" Kun asks, immediately taking the lead in the operation, as usual.

"5 hours? Yeah, Chunli gets back in 5 hours," Chunmei responds from the other end of the call.

Kun nods. "And we should probably get you out of there around an hour in advance, just in case she returns home early out of anger."

"Yeah, that'd probably be a good idea," Chunmei agrees.

"Have you noticed just how extra this whole operation probably is?" Hendery randomly brings up.

Kun sends him a glare. "Not the time, Hendery."

"Yeah, I mean, aren't Chunli and Chunmei sisters? She wouldn't actually hurt her own sister, right?" Xiaojun continues, ignoring our leader.

Ten lets out a loud sigh. "Listen, we don't know what this human is capable of, okay? For all we know, this incident could have triggered some kind of motivation inside of her and she's secretly plotting to murder her little sister."

"Um, is this supposed to be comforting or something?" Chunmei asks. "Because I'm getting really anxious about the fact that she could just burst into my room and kill me right now."

This time, Yangyang speaks up. "No, we're just explaining why we need to get you out of your house. Plus, I think this is a lot of fun! I haven't been so excited in ages!" He looks like he wants to say more, but Kun is giving our maknae that "This is serious" look.

"Alright, let's get to work," Kun suggests. "We'll do preparations here, and you pack stuff up from where you are."

"Well, that'll be easy, considering that I haven't even unpacked half of my clothes. I can just put some stuff into my suitcase and I'll be good. See, not unpacking was always part of my master plan," Chunmei jokes. Despite the fact that her camera isn't on, I can imagine her bright smile.

Lucas immediately starts laughing along. "I like her, Winwin. Can we keep her?" I don't answer, instead looking up at Kun for directions.

"Okay, so we can do our thing, Chunmei, you can do your thing, and we should probably stay on the call in the case that something happens to you," Kun suggests.

"In the case that something happens to you," Ten mocks. "Are we being paranoid?"

"Listen, it's better to be safe than sorry, okay?" Kun defends himself. "Anyways, that's basically the plan, so let's get to work." He takes my phone and turns off the camera, also muting us so Chunmei doesn't have to listen to us yell at each other.

Then we get to work. Or, rather, Kun starts thinking and we all attempt to help but end up just going along with his ideas. "So, first we have to figure out where Chunmei is going to sleep."

As soon as the words are out of Kun's mouth, everyone slowly turns to look at me with the same mischievous smiles on their faces. I gulp. "Why are you guys all looking at me like that?"

"Well, I mean, you're kind of the closest to Chunmei," Lucas shrugs, as if they've all mutually decided to target me.

"I've only known her for a few days-"

"But we haven't even met her yet," Ten cuts me off.

"Are you saying that you'd rather her stay in my room? I mean, I'm okay with that. Sure, let's do it," Lucas laughs.

"Okay, okay, she can stay with me," I sigh. I'm not exactly against the idea, I just have a feeling that it's going to be very, very awkward. But it's okay.

"Hah, jealous Winwin!" Yangyang starts chanting, very annoyingly.

"You know what the funniest part about that was?" Xiaojun interrupts, breaking out into a fit of laughter.

I raise an eyebrow. "What?"

"Lucas literally sleeps in the same room as you!" he wheezes, gasping for air. I sigh, laughing along. How did I not realize that?

After we all calm down and I catch my breath, we manage to actually decide that Lucas is moving into a room with Ten (and Louis and Leon), while Chunmei replaces him in our room.

"Okay, now we need to get to work," Kun says.
