DARK EYES narrowed in deep thought as they focused in on the piece of lingerie between her fingers. "Do you think Gojo would like that on you?" Shoko asked with a mischievous grin on her thin lips, presenting the lacy one-piece to Gina in a provocative fashion. "It'll suit you, I think. You know how they associate purple with extravagance and", she chuckled darkly, almost sarcastically, "and dignity?"

The brunette's humor was lost in translation, hurting feelings which lay bare like nerves of a freshly pulled tooth. Gina clawed at the sensual garment. "You're jealous or something, wondering why nobody has ever wanted to see you in such slutty attire? Get yourself a man, Iieri." She tossed it back onto the meticulously folded pile of arranged lingerie in a display of stifled rage. "And oh, if you want my advice, you won't ever get laid if you keep this phlegmatic attitude up. You have a pretty face, so smile if you want to make men notice you."

Long lashes fluttered in surprise, lips pursing. "Jeez Furuya, I didn't know he's gotten to you that badly." No malice lingered in her eyes, and her pale features remained soft, unfazed by the other girl's sudden irritated outburst. She smiled as she hooked her arm through Gina's, leading her out of the small store and onto Shibuya's busy streets. "Do you want to get coffee and talk?" Shoko, though not the most empathetic person, noticed others' troubles and predicaments fairly quick. Her aspiration to become a physician had made her perceptive to all sorts of ailments whether she deemed them relevant or not. The human mind was just as fragile as the human body, and she felt like it wasn't her right to judge if troubles of the mind seemed petty in her own opinion. The profession she chose required selflessness and the genuine want to save and help others, regardless of their value, their status or importance. Although Shoko had always known, she never had a choice to pursue any other career if she wanted to be acknowledged by her peers, she had come to terms with her limited abilities of using cursed energy the day she attended Tokyo Jujutsu High. Unlike Gina, she was determined and focused, ready to pour her heart into the one thing she was good at. She had goals, a vision, but Gina was just a bundle of insecurities unaware of her potential seeking refuge in trivial things or the arms of a man who was prone to feast on the lack of a girl's self-confidence.

With their arms intertwined, they walked down Hachiko Square, mingling with Shibuya's busy crowd of people. As they strolled along, Shoko seemed to succeed in elevating her fellow student's mood by impersonating characters of her favorite anime series, making faces while changing her voice. Gina laughed wholeheartedly at her antics and the way she twisted her pretty features into grotesque grimaces. Being self-satisfied with her accomplishment, the young medic squeezed the blonde girl's arm with her free hand in a platonic manner. "What do you think about starting over? I mean we've gotten along quite nicely, haven't we? And I honestly have to admit that I miss spending more time with you after school is over. Sure I was pissed at you for leaving me behind in that filthy bar that night when we were celebrating your promotion, but I think I can forgive you for that." A smile spread across pale lips, and she winked playfully. "Can you forgive me though, for being such a resentful bitch?"

Dark brown eyes rolled to the gray sky above. "Of course, Shoko, you're my only friend after all. However...", Gina paused, giving the other girl a narrow-eyed stare as she brought her leather-gloved hand to her chin "you have to treat me to coffee and a blueberry muffin at Starbucks."

The brunette shook her head, chuckling in amusement. "Whatever you want, Gina." Both young women burst into laughter as they continued walking down the plaza like two normal teenage girls without a care in the world; blind to the fact curses were feasting on human emotions twenty-four/seven, tainting the world a shade darker with every passing second. They ignored lower grade cursed spirits clinging to tortured souls in this vast sea of passerby, and paying no mind to anyone's affliction both of them were born to heal or get rid of. In this very moment they were enjoying life like people their age are supposed to until adulthood catches up with them, imposing responsibilities and social roles upon them, they're expected living up to and fulfill. A sad truth in its own right, but people like Shoko and Gina carried Atlas' burden the day they had enrolled at Tokyo Jujutsu High, dedicating their lives to exorcising demons born of mankind's depravity. And although one had come to terms with this fact since day one, the other was troubled by awareness, knowing this wasn't the life she wanted to lead.
