Yuna found himself twiddling his thumbs as he walked through the trail leading to his school. Another walk, another day of school, another day of bullying. Another day since his parents passed away. Another day in this meaningless abyss most people call "life."

Yuna could hear classmates saying their farewells to their parents as they ran into the schoolyard. As their parents drove off. Yuna could barely remember what that felt like.

It was almost a year ago. On a beautiful spring evening. Yuna was in the backseat, face pressed up against the glass, watching the cherry blossoms fly by as the car passed them. Their pink and white hue was beautiful to Yuna. He turned back to face forward.

"Are we there yet?" Yuna asked excitedly. They were going to a concert for his favorite band. It was almost impossible to grab tickets before they sold out. "Not yet, Yuna, but we're close!" his father called back to him, with a grin. Yuna grinned back. Yuna's mother turned up the radio. Yuna's favorite song came on.

As Yuna sang along to the music, the sun set itself into a beautiful lightshow of red, orange, yellow, pink, and purple. The lights of the city came on, a beautiful array of neon bright color. They were close.

It all happened in a blur. Yuna could barely remember. Tires squealing. A deafening crunch. The smell of gasoline and oil. And fire.

"Over here!" someone yelled, distantly. Someone grabbed Yuna by the shoulders and pulled him out of the car. He felt dizzy. The last memory he had of that night was the sight of their car bursting into flames. His parents, trapped inside.

Yuna woke up in the emergency room. His right arm was in a cast, and his neck was in a brace. He tried to sit up. He couldn't.

"Hello?" he called out. A doctor opened the door. "How are you feeling?" the doctor asked. Yuna tried sitting up again. "Where are my parents?" Yuna asked, struggling to keep himself upright. "Lie down, you are in no condition to get up right now. How are you feeling?" the doctor asked again. "I'm fine, where are my parents?" Yuna asked, this time more panic in his voice. The doctor kneeled down, her face level to his. "Listen to me Yuna. You and your parents were involved in a hit and run with a drunk driver." Yuna's eyes widened. "Your car rolled twice, and hit a barrier. The car caught on fire. We got you out, but your parents..." Yuna averted his eyes. Tears began rolling down his cheeks. The doctor took him in an embrace as he started bawling.

Time of death: April 30, 2009, at 8:53pm. Cause of death: Vehicular fire, burns.

Yuna walked onto school campus, a gust of wind blowing his hair out of his gray eyes. It was the day after spring break ended. Already, he was dreading the day.

"Hey, Yuna!" a voice yelled, tauntingly. Yuna turned around only to be hit in the face with a basketball, knocking his glasses off of his face. Already, had it started.
