Kaminari was already back at the bar. He had met up with Kurogiri who ended up taking him there, but he couldn't bring himself to look up at anybody. The television on the wall was playing the news, while Kaminari was in the process of setting up, Himiko had planted some rumors about something scandalous happening at UA. So news reporters had piled together in front of the school gate. He could hear the chatter, people trying to get themselves inside to report on what was happening..

"I'm standing in front of the gate to the infamous UA. Recently this hero school has had multiple attempts of attacks. If you look behind me, you can see the rising smoke of the most recent event, most likely caused by the rumored UA Traitor."

Kaminari clinched his fists at his knees, tears pricking the corners of his eyes. He was sitting at the bar, staring at the counter. He felt a lump in his throat, an aching in his chest.

"We are still trying to get in... Wait, look. The door, somehow it's open.. We need to take this chance now!"

Kaminari bit his lip, looking up to the TV. He watched the reporter rushing in with the group.

"Look, ahead of us! There's a teacher! He's carrying a student!"

The reporter had gotten pretty far in. Kaminari's eyes widened as he recognized Aizawa, who was carrying a passed out red head.

"How did you get in here? You need to leave. You arent allowed on school grounds"

Aizawa was trying to cover Kirishima's face, but the reporter kept closing in.

"What happened? Is that boy alright? Are his injuries connected to the chain of smoke coming from the dorm buildings?"

"I'm not answering any of your questions, get off of the property!"

"Was this the cause of the rumored traitor? This is connected to the events that transpired as USJ am I correct?"

"I said that I'm not answering"

Kaminari watched as Aizawa reached out, his hand covering the camera. The camera ended up getting pushed to the ground, the lens cracking as the only thing visible were now feet. Voices could still be heard but Kaminari reached over the counter, grabbing the remote control. He turned off the TV.

"Kaminari! I was watching that!" Himiko whined slightly, throwing her head back. "Wasn't that the cute little red head boy that you fought so hard to keep alive? Ooh, I wonder if he's dead now"

He sucked in a breath, slamming the remote down onto the counter. "He was fine when I left. Just cut.. what did he do" He let out the breath that he had been holding, ignoring the fact that tears had once again come to his eyes.

"Don't slam things that don't belong to you Sparky. You did your job" Dabi yawned, lifting his head up. He had been 'sleeping' at the counter. "You weren't supposed to get attached.. it's your fault if you care for him"

"I-It wasn't just him, not just Kirishima" He brought a hand to his chest, gripping the fabric of his shirt. Sure, he loved Kirishima.. but there were others he cared about. "Sero.. Ashido.. hell even Bakugou.." Tears began to fall down his cheeks "They were my friends.. and all the others of class too.. Midoriya and his friends.. Mineta.. everyone.. I betrayed their trust.."

"Ahhh, what's so good about having friends? They just lie and lie and lie" Shigaraki spoke up as he came into the room "Can't really trust no one. It's their fault for believing in you" He scratched at his neck as he sat down. Kaminari choked back his words.

"They are heroes-to-be, Kaminari. You come from a family of fairly high ranking villains. Do you think they would trust you if they knew your family ties, even if you werent a villain?" Kurogiri had his back turned as he washed a dish. "It is easy to step out of the 'light' they think they shine. Heroes become villains.. But villains do not become heroes. The shadows they create is drowning."

"Still.." Kaminari shifted, closing his eyes as he wiped the tears on his cheek with his sleeve. He didn't want to cry, he wasn't a kid anymore after all.

"They get to decide what is right and wrong, yet they break their own rules in order to enforce them. They look at us like scum when they basically do the same as us. What you did was to help push that heroes cant really protect. They are unneeded in society. Those friends of yours? They will never look at you the same."

Kaminari shook, keeping his eyes closed a moment. He took a breath, turning as he grabbed a dark sweatshirt. He had changed into 'comfortable' clothes and he threw the sweatshirt on, pulling the hood over his hair. "I'm going for a walk. I need some air"

"Kaminari, it would be safer-"

"I dont give a shit what would be safer right now. I already can't change what I did, but it doesnt mean I want to be here right now. Whatever you say about them.. my friends are nothing like the heroes who currently stand at the top.. I'll be back, and I'll keep following orders.. but I just need some air" He cut off Kurogiri, pushing himself past Dabi who had stood up to lazily block him from leaving. He pulled his phone from his pocket, cursing slightly as he just now noticed how cracked it was.

He had missed calls. Dozens of texts. He opened one of them that was from Jirou. She had rapidly sent him multiple messages, asking if he was okay and informing him on Kirishima's condition. Bakugou had also sent him a message. He shifted as he opened it, his head down as he bumped passed people trying to watch the news on the random televisions along the way.

'You didnt have to do this'

Kaminari took a small breath as he sent a message back 'I did'

'No. You didnt' The message was almost immediate. He blinked, it was almost like Bakugou was waiting for him to text back. It was even more surprising when Bakugou's name showed up in the caller ID.

"Sparkplug you idiot! This was too much!" Bakugou's voice yelled into the phone. Kaminari could hear chatter in the background "Villain or not, these were people who cared about you."

"Save your breath Bakugou.. When he wakes up, tell him that I never cared.."

"...That would hurt him worse..."

"I know, but I need a reason for him to hate me. I need a reason for everyone to hate me"

"You're a child"

"Yeah? Well.. I had fun Bakubro. Thanks for that. But the real me isnt the cheerful idiot you know"

He hung up, turning his phone off completely to avoid anymore calls.
