"Cool, those songs are awesome!" I nodded.

TIME SKIP

Thursday, August 29th

2PM

I looked at myself in the mirror as I waited for Mercedes to finish getting ready. I had on black shorts that went mid thigh, a purple T-shirt and black tennis shoes. My hair is down and curly like usual.

"You ready?" Mercedes asked coming out of her room and into mine.

"Yeah." I grabbed my phone and put it in my back pocket. I picked up the folder with my songs and followed her.

TIME SKIP

"Hey Matthew." Mercedes said , opening his door.

"Hi girls! Have a seat!" He said, motioning for us to sit much like he did on Tuesday. We sat down and I handed him the folder."Jennifer will be here in a second, she had to use the restroom. While your gone, I'll look over you songs."

"I've heard pretty much all of them, they're awesome!" Mercedes said.

"Thanks Mercy." I said smiling.

"I can tell, I've already read a few lyrics to some of them. And from the song you dang on Monday, I do believe that it will be number one on the bill boards for weeks."

"Really?"

"Yes, really. It's great!"

"Thank you." A woman came in then. She had blond hair, with brown highlights. She had a lot of makeup on and a black dress that went down to her knees.

"This Jennifer, you know Mercedes, and this is Brenda Jackson."

"I know, i watched the news last night. You're song was great!" She said smiling. She shook my hand.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome. Are we ready to go?" She asked. We nodded. I was confused at first, because she led us to a long black limo. Then I realized that we were riding in t to the salon. I looked at Mercedes like, 'Holy shit!'. She laughed and got in. I got in after her.

"This is awesome!" I said before Jennifer got in. When we got there, we were the only ones in the salon.

"Hey Jennifer, Mercedes. Whose this?"

"This is Brenda Jackson. Didn't you watch the news last night?" Jennifer asked, putting her stuff on a desk.

"Oh that's right! You have a beautiful voice."

"Thank you."

"I'm Maggy by the way, I'll be taking care of you today. Are you two getting anything done too?"

"No, not today. I'm gonna go run a few arrons while they're here."Jennifer left a few minutes later.

"A manicure and pedicure for me." Mercedes said," Same for Brenda." She told her. I nodded." And Jennifer wants her waxed." My eyes widened.

"Say what now?" I asked. Maggy laughed.

"Don't worry, it doesn't hurt." She said and pulled me up some stairs to a room.

"Take your clothes off." She said.

"What?" She laughed again.

"Don't worry, I'm straight. By waxing, she meant everything."

"Oh hell." I mumbled and did as she asked. By the time she was done, the only hair I had left on my body was the hair on my head and my eyebrows. She waxed everything. It didn't hurt much, but it stung like hell.

"Sorry for the wait Mercedes. I'm gonna go ahead and do her manicure and pedicure. Kim should be here soon. She's late again."

"Oh, it's fine."She led me to a chair and told me to put my feet in the water. I did and she started washing my feet and I got my phone out. I logged into Facebook and put as my status,

Brenda Jackson- I officially have no hair on my body except for the hair on my head and my eye brows.

When Maggy was done, Kim still hadn't shown up. She started my nails and asked,

"What do you want?"

"French tips." She nodded and got to work. When she was done, about thirty minutes later, I said,

"Thanks, I love them."

"You're welcome." She said smiling." Do you want anything else done?" I thought about it.

"I've been thinking about getting it cut." I replied.

"Really? You should do it." Mercedes said.

"I am." Maggy clapped. She made me sit down in a chair and plugged in a hair straightener.

"How do you want it?"

"Shorter than mid back like usual, about 2 inches below the shoulder." I said while she ran the straightener through my hair." I want bangs straight across too." She nodded. She finished straightening it and I picked my phone up and took a picture of myself while half my hair was clipped on top of my head. I posted it on Facebook. About halfway through cutting it, Kim finally arrived.

"Sorry I'm late."

"It's fine, just get to work." Maggy told her. She started doing Mercedes nails. About an hour later, Maggy had completely finished my hair. She gave me a mirror and I was awestruck. I loved it.

"Oh my god! I love it! It looks so good!"  I exclaimed, hugging her." Thank you!" She laughed.

"You're welcome." Mercedes and Jennifer were waiting on my now, since Jennifer got back a few minutes ago. I went over to them.

"Your hair looks great, Brenda!" Mercedes said.

"Thanks! I love it!" I exclaimed again. They laughed. Jennifer paid Maggy and we left.

"Shopping next!"
