The next day

Brenda's POV

"Hey Mercedes, what time do we have to go to meet Mr. Johnson?" I asked, sitting on the couch beside Puck.

"Around 12, why?"

"I was just wondering. I'm gonna go get ready." I said. It's 11 o'clock. I wore my hair down, put on a tank top, and shorts with eyeliner and mascara. I was ready by 11:45 and we left. Mercedes drove while I sat in the passenger seat nervous as hell. My leg was bouncing up and down out of habit.

"Nervous?" Mercedes asked.

"Hell yes."

"Ha ha, don't worry. He's even nicer once you get to know him. He's insanely laid back." She replied. I nodded. We got there and by then, I had relaxed a bit. I coudln't stop thinking about Sam today for some reason. I wiped a tear away before Mercedes could see. She led me into the building. She knocked on the door and opened it when a faint voice called,

"Come in girls!" It was as if he knew it was us.

"Hey, Mr. Johnson." Mercedes said, opening the door he smiled when he saw us.

"Hi." I said shyly.

"No need to be shy, Ms. Jackson." He said kindly, motioning for us to sit down. I smiled. We sat down and I said,

"Just call me Brenda."

"Okay." He grinned." And you can call me Matthew." I nodded, smiling. He took out a small stack of paper.

"Okay, the first piece of paper, I will fill out, which state's that I offered you a record deal and such, okay?" You just have to sign the bottom." I nodded. After he filled it out, I signed it. He flipped it over to the blank side and put it to the side.

"I'm just going to ask you these questions okay? And I'll write it all down." I nodded again." Full name?"

"Brenda Pearl Anne Jackson." He wrote it down.

"Eye color?"

"Brown."

"Natural hair color?"

"Brown."

"Height?"

"5'6."

"Age?"

"18."

"Birthday?"

"September 8th, 1998."

"Your birthday is next month huh?"

"Yes sir." He smiled.

"Hobbies?"

"Singing, dancing, reading, writing songs."

"Are you single?" I'm sorry for the unnecessary questions, I have to ask them."

"Oh, it's fine. I'm no-, yes I'm single."

"Okay, Parents?"

"My mom, Donna Jackson, my dad, William Jackson Sr."

"Are both alive?"

"My dad died when I was 15."

"When?"

"June 27th."

"Any Siblings?"

"Chris Jackson, who is 30, and my twin brother, Kevin Jackson."

"Okay, just a few more questions."

"Okay."

"How do you feel about singing country songs as well as pop?" I smiled widely.

"That would be amazing! I write po and country songs."
