Audrey's POV

"Man, how come we have to organize the stupid storage room?" Henry complained as he carried a machine into the main room of the Man Cave. "Shouldn't Ray be doing this?"

"I don't know." Charlotte shook her head. "Just tell us what that is so we can write it down."

"It's a big heavy thing with things on it." Henry examined.

"I give up." I put my pen down.

"Great. Another big thing that's a thing with things on it." Charlotte rolled her eyes.

"Whatever." Henry scoffed.

Henry leaned against a tall machine and it started to zap him. Charlotte and I kept on wincing as Henry screamed. Then, the lasers stopped.

"What are you doing? Ray said not to mess with this stuff!" Charlotte exclaimed in frustration.

"I wasn't messing with it!" Henry objected. "I just leaned on it—"

"You're wrong." My dad scoffed as he walked in the room with Schowz.

"I told you that—" Schowz began.

"Give it up, Schowz! The answer is wild monkeys!" My dad argued.

"A smart person—" Schowz tried to say.

"Well, I told you wrong." My dad scoffed.

"The answer is soup!" Schowz cried.

"Well, I disagree." My dad pointed out and walked to Henry, Charlotte, and I who were watching them.

"Okay, let's ask them." My dad suggested, looking at us.

"Ask us what?" I questioned.

"If you kids had to choose, would you rather.." Schowz trailed off.

"Be eaten by wild monkeys." My dad nodded.

"Or you get boiled in a big pot of soup." Schowz continued.

"What kind of soup?" Henry asked.

A buzzing sound goes off and Charlotte groaned. "Ugh, Gooch needs me. I'll be back down in a sec."

Charlotte made her way to the elevator.

"Hey Ray, can we finish going through all this stuff tomorrow?" Henry turned to the machines.

"It's only five o'clock." My dad checked his watch.

"I know, but.." Henry trailed off.

"He wants to leave early—" Charlotte stood in the elevator.

"Don't tell them!" Henry shouted.

"Okay." Charlotte agreed.

"Henry's got a date!" Charlotte teased as the elevator doors closed.

"Why'd you have to— ugh!" Henry groaned.

Henry turned back to my dad and Schowz who were smirking.

"It's not a date." Henry crossed his arms.

"I bet it iiis!" Schowz sang.

"You going to wear your fanciest pants?" My dad mocked.

"Can I knock off early or not?" Henry huffed.

"Yeah sure, take off, kid." My dad agreed.

"Thanks." Henry made his to the tube slots. "Bye, Audrey."

"Bye, Henry." I grinned.

"Hey, where you going to take her?" Schowz asked.

"To dinner at Sotto Voce." Henry explained.
