The letter

3nd P.O.V

A group of houses was at the end of a dimly lit road. It was quite and there was one street lamp providing light for the whole road. Near midnight a bearded man wearing a dark blue cloak, moon shaped glasses, and a pointed hat walked in front of one of the houses. He took out a lighter from his pocket and switched off the light. He looked around a bit before speaking

"Aah hello Minerva I thought you would be here." The bearded man says to... a cat.

"Hello professor Dumbledore, so this is the boy that you were talking about?" The cat said changing into a woman in her mid-50s wearing a green cloak and glasses.

"Yes he is the boy that I have had my eye on. He is said to be the reincarnation of the greatest wizard in history. If this is true then the wizarding world is going to be changed forever." Dumbledore answered

"It's hard to believe that such a great wizard is now a child living with a muggle. Although they are nice it's still astonishing." Minerva said in a monotone voice

"Do not forget Minerva that every great witch or wizard always starts as a child."

"I guess you do have a point, so are you going to leave his hogwarts letter personally."

"Yes I have it with me here" he takes out a letter "I'll leave it here for them to find in the morning. It just didn't seem right to deliver the letter of a great wizard with a mere owl."

"I understand professor but I'm just concerned about how hogwarts would be impacted by his presence."

*timeskip to the morning*

Y/N P.O.V

I woke up early in the morning since I enjoy waking up before the sun. Nobody else was awake so like any 11 year old boy I stayed in bed for another 10min before getting out.

I did my usual morning routine, brushing, taking a shower. By the time I was done the rest of my family had woken up and came out, and by the rest I mean my mum since my dad was away on a trip.

"Morning mum" I said to my mom

"Hey dear" she said to me with a hug which I gladly accepted

"Did dad not come back from his trip yet?" I asked her

"No he has not."

"Oh well, what's for breakfast?" I asked her

"I'll see what I can make, can u go check the mail?" She asked me and I nodded

I went out and saw a letter on the porch addressed to me but I wasn't expecting anything and it had a weird looking symbol on the stamp so I brought it in.

"Mum, I got a letter which is addressed to me but I'm not expecting anything. Do you know anything about it?" I yelled to her in the kitchen

"Can I see it dear."

I walk to the kitchen

"Sure here you go." I hand her the letter

She has a shocked look on her face "so it finally happened"

"Mum, are you ok"

"Listen Y/N I have to tell you something, take a seat" me and her sit down. "Y/N do you believe in magic?" She asks me and I look at her confused so it takes it as a sign and she continues "well magic is real and you Y/N are a wizard" this hit me like a truck

"What do you mean I'm a wizard? Like Houdini?"

"No as in a person that uses magic as in gandalf."

"Wait wait wait I don't understand" I was very skeptic to say the least

"Well remember all of those weird things that would happen around you which I told you were just coincidence." I nodded "Well that was you using magic. Your father is also a wizard and that's why he leaves so much. I am so sorry for not telling you earlier, me and your father thought about telling you many times but always decided not to because we thought of what would happen to the kids around here."

I see her tearing up and on the verge of crying. I admit that I am a bit mad at her for not telling me but I also understand why she did it. Something like this would change me for sure. I pull her into a hug and feel her tears run down my shoulders.

"It's okay mum, I understand"

"Thank you my dear"

"Wait this didn't have anything to do with the letter, what's this letter about then?"

"What does this have to do with this letter?"

"Well this is your acceptance letter for hogwarts, the school where you'll learn to use your magic."

"What does this entail for me?"

"Well you have to open the letter to find out but you'll have to be sure that you want to"

I look down at the letter in my hands and think about what my mom just told me.

"I'm sure" I say as I open the seal on the letter

The letter reads-

Dear Y/N Wyllt

This letter is to inform you of your acceptance to hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. School starts in august and will arrive via train on platform 9 3/4. All necessary supplies will need to be bought in diagon alley by this time. All necessary supplies are listed below

"Diagon alley, platform 9 3/4, how is that even possible" I think to myself

I had just entered a new world. I am shocked nervous and excited at the same time and I didn't even think that was possible. I wonder what it would be like to learn magic.

There is the first chapter of this book. This book is probably going to get updates less than my other book(s) since the Harry Potter universe has a lot more details that go into it.

For example I thought this chapter would take me maybe a day or two but no it took me four because of the amount of research I had to do to get everything right.
