Ruby's Broken Bone Part 1

"Ha, you're now 'it,' Ruby!" said Max.

"Alright then," Ruby said, bending her knees slightly to be ready for action with a determined look on her face. "Let's do this." Roger blew his whistle.

"Alright!" Roger said to get everyone's attention. "Everyone except "it," find a starting point on the playground. Ruby, you stand in the center right here." Ruby did what she was told and got ready to bolt as soon as the game started. "Now remember, Ruby is the first bunny to be it! You all are gonna take turns being 'it,' but whoever can freeze everybunny in the shortest amount of time wins the tournament! 'Couple other things I wanna point out."

"JUST START THE MATCH ALREADY!!!" everyone shouted.

"Okay! Okay!" said Roger, picking up his whistle. "Everybunny ready? Alright! In three... two... one..." Roger blew his whistle to start the match and started his stopwatch.

"Look out everyone!" Ruby shouted. "Ruby's 'it!'"

"You can't catch me!" taunted Lily.

"Try to catch me, Ruby!" shouted Max, who quickly climbed up the latter towards the highest platform on the playground. Ruby decided to start out with tagging players on the ground. Antonio hid inside one of the crawl tubes on the first level, trying not to be spotted.

"Has anyone seen 'it?'" said Antonio as he kept hiding. He did not see Ruby sneak up behind him.

"BWAH!" Ruby shouted to startle him.

"Yipe!!" Antonio interjected as he tried to jump out of the tube as fast as he could, but Ruby managed to tag him on the ankle. He stopped dead in his position, bent over on his paws while his legs were still in the tube.

"Gotcha, Antonio!" Ruby said with a cocky expression on her face. "Now who will be my next victim?"

"Not me!" Louise taunted as she ran past her.

"We'll see about that!" Ruby taunted back, and she started chasing Louise in circles. Despite Louise being slightly more fit than her, Ruby managed to outrun her and tag her.

"Gotcha, Louise!" Ruby said, practically out of breath from chasing her.

"Don't you mean 'Gotye?' Because you're 'Somebunny that I USED to KNOOOWWWW!'"

"Freeze, Louise!" Ruby said.

"Okay okay! Sheesh!" Louise said as she locked herself into a position, spreading her arms out and standing on one foot. However, when she stepped her foot down, she yowled in pain and fell over.

"Louise!" shouted Ruby as she ran over to her best friend.

"What is it Louise?" Roger said as he ran over too.

"I think I stepped on something! Ow!!" Louise interjected.

"Lemme see," Ruby said as she inspected the underside of Louise's foot. "Ooh, yeah, a splinter."

"What am I gonna do?!" Louise said, starting to panic.

"Just hold still," Ruby said as she pinched the tip of the splinter lodged in the underside of Louise's foot.

"I'm gonna have a splinter stuck in my foot for the rest of my life!" Louise panicked. "It's gonna be so painful... how am I ever going to..." Her sentence was cut short by Ruby holding the splinter up close to her face for her to see. "Um... I knew it was going to come out eventually,"  Louise said, trying to be cool about the situation.

"Keep telling yourself that, Louise," Ruby said, tossing the splinter to the side.

"Alright girls," Roger said. "Let's continue the game. Ruby! Water!" Ruby opened her mouth and Roger squirted some water into it from a bottle.
