Peter and Gamora had been dating for a couple months now and her goal to listen to one song on the playlist every night quickly took a turn when the Guardians had to do a bunch of jobs back to back. After each day of a long and tiring job all she did was take a shower and fall asleep in Peter's arms.
They thankfully had a good week off so Gamora had time to listen to more songs, dance with Peter, and get even more cuddling.
Gamora knew she was a warrior and an assassin. A weapon trained to kill people but when she was with Peter she felt like she was just Gamora...she wasn't a warrior or a weapon...she was just herself and it felt so easy. Being with Peter made her felt so free and it was so easy.
The day had been very relaxing for Gamora she got a lot of time just to spend with her family. When it was time for dinner the team sat together and talked about anything and everything. Once dinner finished they played a couple of games together for a while before everyone had finally turned into their quarters.
Gamora was currently sitting in her and Peter's bed as Peter came into their room from his shower wearing a short sleeve grey shirt and some black sweatpants. He started to dry his hair with the towel he had in his hand and Gamora just sat there and watched him thoughtfully. When Peter raised his head he saw that Gamora had been looking at him.
"What" he said
Gamora noticed how he said it the exact same way he had when she first admitted to their unspoken thing.
"Nothing...just watching"
Peter smiled at her and joined her in the bed after throwing his dirty towel in the laundry basket he kept in their room.
"I wanna listen to one of the songs with you"
Peter gave another soft smile and agreed
Gamora had pulled out the zune Peter had given her and picked the sixth song

Gamora handed Peter one of the ear buds and he put it in his ear as Gamora pressed play on the song.

Gamora looked up at Peter who was already looking at her. He tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and intertwined their fingers as they listened to the rest of the song.

Peter got up and held out his hand for Gamora for a dance. Gamora got up and expected it and they started swaying together to the song while Peter whispered the lyrics softly in her ear.

Peter looked into Gamora's eyes and watched as a tear slipped from her eye as the song finished. He was about to wipe it away before Gamora leaned in and kissed him. They were kissing for a while until they inevitably needed to breathe so they pulled apart and rested their foreheads against each other.
"I love you Gamora"
"I love you too Peter"
He gave her one last kiss before they got back into bed and fell asleep in each other's arms.
