CH IX

"Who turns off the light!!!" At that moment, she directed her eyes toward the door. The look on her face changed immediately. Ladybug and Chat noir already guarding at the door.

"I thought you are the sun itself" Chat noir smirking. then once again ladybug managed to tie her up.

"Chat noir her leg!!" Chat noir leaps in and touches her leg cast. A white butterfly comes out from it, Ladybug swung her yo-yo and caught it. "bye-bye little butterfly" She then threw the night vision goggles into the air, causing red and white lights magic to swirl around as she yelled "Miraculous Ladybug!". 

Now that I have seen it close up, it truly is beautiful.

-SLYPH POV-

Why am I here? Lyon? Y/N?  Lady Bug? Where am I?

"You were akumatized by hawkmoth. but don't worry now, it all over" Lady Bug smiled at her.

"Thank you so much ladybug." I tried to stand but since my legs still hurt, I tumbled but Y/N quickly catches me. My eyes met hers. She helps me to stand properly.

I couldn't look at her. I'd been jealous and hurt, and I had dragged Y/N into the middle of my own broken mess. All because Lyon didn't love me back. But I was stupid, and I was wrong. Y/N is my bestfriend, she will never backstab me.

We looked at each other wordlessly. It was a sudden silence, but no one tried to break that. At that moment Y/N stretched out her hand and pulled me in her arms tightly as if she read my heart. "Slyph, I'm glad you're okay" She cried while hugging me. her words are so warm. I felt guilty that I was hurting her.

"Thank you for being my best friend (Y/N)"  I said. 

I quickly raised my head to see Lyon. who didn't even say anything to me until now, was smiling at me? He added, "Dummies". he sighs in relief. 

-SLYPH flashback-

"Hey, weird kid. Why you always by your own at the corner" Some kids

"She is a witch in disguise, I told you. Look at her white hair, she looks old." 

"No, I'm not," she said. They began to bully her by throwing her rocks, dirt, etc.

"Hey! Don't disturb her. Is this how you treat a girl?" A little boy runs from behind and attacks the bullies making them surrender. the little boy came to the girl and offered his hand to her. 

"why you help me?. Your face is bruised because of me" she muttered.

"I hate people who're treating girls badly," He said smiling at you.

"you will be hated by them too" I gaze downcast as I spoke.

"Don't worry, I'm not that weak. My name is Lyon by the way, How bout you?" 

"Slyph.."

"Nice to meet you Slyph" He smiled brightly on your face.

Ever since then, Lyon always by my side to make sure no bullies make fun of me. We always with each other, He started to take a liking to dance and I follow him anyway. At first, I was afraid to dance, but soon after It makes me feel alive. Boys and girls have different dance classes.

Even though we had different classes, sometimes there will be a time when the teacher asks to find a boy to duet with. Of course, without hesitation, I choose Lyon as my partner. We practice a lot in our home. I subconsciously smile.

With his eyes wide open, Lyon soon burst into laughter. It was the most bright and shiny smile than he had ever seen of me.

"Hey Slyph, You should smile more, It's suits you better"

"Really?"

"Yep" He took a sip of his bottle then give it to you. "Here, I bet you thirsty since, we dance so much"

an indirect kiss? Does Lyon like me?

"Hey Lyon, What kind of girl you like?" I'm still holding the bottle he gave to me. I glanced at him. He had these complicated looks and a bit of surprise as well.

"To be honest, I never think about that. but if you asked me, I will love someone who is like the sun. who can give us warmth, laughter, and joy? Why you suddenly asked anyway? Did you have someone you like?" He asked.

You.

"No no, I just curious hehe..." I said. "How about me".I whisper as I gaze downcast. suddenly he put his arms around my shoulder and poked my head.

"Are you afraid if I got a girlfriend I won't be with you anymore? It won't happen. So, Don't you worry you, dummies. you feel like a real sister to me" he said with the biggest smile to reassure me. 

"But I'm not your sister" I murmured to myself.

"Did you say something?" He asked.

"Nothing, c'mon let's practice once more" I fake a smile.

There was a time that I had been thinking it would be better to rather know nothing while being afraid of getting aware of the truth. However, I didn't think that way anymore. Just by finding out the truths, I was able to escape from the long-time concerns.

I just need to make him realized it. 

I met you a few years later. A shiny dark purple hair swayed along with the spring breeze. When our eyes met, you smiled back more gorgeously than a blooming flower. You dance as everyone wasn't there, You quickly texted Lyon to watch your performances and he came right away. 

"She really good at this isn't she?" I nudged Lyon's elbow. No response

"Excuse me...?" I tossed a question with a frown, but he just opened and closed his mouth wordlessly for a while.

'What is wrong with him?' I wondered and followed his glance. he was completely mesmerized by your dances. 

"We should add her to become one of our dance team Slyph. We definitely can win the competition"

His smile looked so bright while speaking that way. Thus, I couldn't help but show a grin after him.

"Uh... yeah... We should" I was afraid for nothing. I liked how he included "we". It sounded warm and open, like a hug.

After her performances, we asked her whether she wants to join us or not. Turns out she also wants to ask. Three of us ended up laughing, she is a very open person, it easy to talk to her.

As time passes she becomes my best friend too. Every Friday, we have this sleepover party at my house. We always ended talking until morning. Lyon always scolds us for being late to practice the next day. She even called Lyon her mom at this point. 

-End flashback-
