Sienna nervously twists the ring around her right hand as she waits for Max to finish getting ready. It was the second day of the temporary work together between ACE and EQUAL and Sienna was already sick of it.

She was sick of being looked at differently because of her gender. Being looked at by men, just because they lacked the courage to speak up against her. But today, today she didn't give a damn. Mother nature had visited her early so she was just dressed in a pair of black leggings and a random ribbed tee.

It was super cold in this part of Versailles, so the ribbed tee wasn't the best idea. After about twenty minutes of her freezing her ass off, Max finally appears, wearing a very formal-looking suit. Something she hadn't bothered to wear since her stomach was trying to stab her and murder her.

"Sorry for taking so long, I had-" He does a complete 180 looking at Sienna's choice of clothing,

"What are you wearing, it's freezing outside." He hisses, dragging Sienna into the warm house. Sienna shakes her head,

"I wasn't feeling well. Mother Nature." She says a short sentence, causing Max to gape at her, finally understanding why she was in such a bad mood. He pulls a random Bomber out of his closet at drapes it over her,

"Here you go. I don't care about what you wear, but I don't need my right-hand getting hypothermia." He gives her a soft side smile, something that was very rare from Max, and gently pulls her out of the house as they start their ride to ACE's facility.

"What are we doing here?" She asks, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear, revealing a long row of ear piercings. Max switches the engine off and combs a hand through his hair,

"Apparently Cai got some late-night information and demanded that we meet with him today." He pulls down the mirror and looks at his face. Sienna rolls her eyes, slamming the mirror shut,

"Ok, model boy, let's get going shall we?"

"Model Boy?" He teases, getting a slap from Sienna,

"Stop it, Max, don't flatter yourself." Max gasps, clutching his hand to his heart and throwing his head back dramatically,

"What do you mean, don't flatter yourself? I know that you're just jealous of how handsome I look." Sienna smirks playfully, tightening the bandana on her neck,

"Sure. I want hair that makes me look like a wet dog." She mutters, getting a pout from Max as he rakes his hand through his hair again,

"My hair doesn't look like a wet dog? Does it?" He mutters to himself as Sienna opens the door for him, the two of them stepping into ACE's den.

Sienna feels her heart begin to race as all the men start to glare at her, jealous that she's higher up than her. She stops briefly, giving them a sharp glare back, to show that she didn't give a crap about their opinions. Finally, she starts to feel the tiniest bit light, feeling in control over her body and mind.

"Looks like someone forgot to get ready." Min, the most arrogant member of ACE whispers in her ear, hip lips ghosting over the shell of her ear. With perfect poise, Sienna slips the dagger out of her holster and holds the knife to the man's hip, right under the blazer,

"Looks like someone forgot that they should never mess with a woman with a knife huh." She breathes out, making sure to stay there, letting the hot air linger on his ear. Instead of his smirk turning into a frown, Max's smirk lengthens as he shoves the knife underneath the table, plastering a fake smile on his face,

"Babydoll, as much as I appreciate you being feisty, right now's just not the time." He twists her hand, causing the knife to fall blade first into the floor, centimeters away from her boots. Sienna feels the anger start to bubble in her chest and she stomps in his foot,

"Shut up."

"Are you good?" Max asks, wrapping his hand around her waist. Sienna shrugs his hand off, moving to sit at one of the bar stools. She plops her gun on the counter and looks at the inscription,

"Courage is knowing what not to fear."

Her first and only gun, given to her by Max when he had appointed her as his right-hand woman. Max had initially met her in the private school during debate, something he had always failed in. Sienna chuckles at the memory of Max's first debate, he lost his patience and just pulled his gun out as an easy way to solve matters.

Her gun was suddenly swiped off the table by a heavy-looking man, his bandana wrapped lazily around his shoe.

"Courage is knowing what not to fear." He reads the saying aloud, twisting and turning the small handgun in his hand. He chuckles, looking repeatedly at the gun, then at Sienna's face,

"Is this yours missy? I find it hard to believe." He teasingly points the gun at her.

"HEY!" A maddened Max stomps over, pulling his gun out from the holster in his blazer. Sienna quickly turns around, flattening her palm against her best friend's chest,

"Calm down Maxime. I got this." She says, using his nickname to lighten her response. He steps away as she walks towards the man with her gun in his hands. She sticks her hand out, giving him a second chance,

"Are you gonna hand my gun to me, or do I have to kill you to do it? Just to let you know, I'm not above killing someone to get my weapon." She slowly moves closer to the smirking man who shakes his head,

"What are you going to do Princess? Are you gonna cry to your boyfriend?" The man makes a pouty face as Sienna cracks her neck and her knuckles, one by one. She shrugs the hoodie off her slim body and makes sure that her rings are on tightly.

"Last chance inflatable." She says, the man's face redding. He grunts, sticking his hand out, aiming the gun at her. Sienna pouts,

"Already? We're already using guns? Aww, you're no fun." She murmurs, drop-kicking the gun out of the man's hand. The gun slides across the floor as she punches him in the nose, hearing the satisfying crack come from his nose.

The man stumbles back, clutching his nose in pain. But Sienna shows no mercy as she keeps on kicking the man's stomach until he falls down, never getting back up again. Sienna crouches down, pulling the blue bandana off the dead man's shoe, whistling,

"You won't need this now."

"Courage is knowing what not to fear. Plato. Nice choice Sienna." It was the man of the hour, Cai had finally shown up, his suit replaced with a turtleneck and an acid washed denim jacket. Sienna walks over to him, grabbing her gun and setting it in the holster, and rolls her eyes,

"Now that fashion grandpa has finally come, can we start the meeting?"

Guess who's tired?
