"Oh, no thank you. I do not fancy one." You smile as you respond to Colin and he frowns but he nods, taking the lead and guiding you into the bakery, where you stand by as he orders himself what he wants for breakfast.
"May I have one croissant please?" He is polite to the young woman who serves him, of course he is, and after he has gained everything you wished to order, he is quick to sit down with you in a seat by the window. "You looked rather lovely at the ball last night, I must say. I have never seen a dress that was so well suited on a lady."
"That is quite a compliment, I believe." You respond as you watch him take a bite from his croissant.
"It is simply fantastic. Are you sure you should not like one? Or perhaps you shall have a bite of mine?" The grin on Colin's face only falters as you deny him once again. "Anyway... did you enjoy the ball last night, Miss (y/n)?"
