"no i'm serious sky, i have a good feeling about this." i say grabbing a water out of my fridge and hopping up on the kitchen counter.

"max your dad will kill you and we both know this." my best friend skyler says sitting in the chair beside the counter i'm sitting on. i lean back and lay down. "sky. listen, we are sophomores and we got invited to this party. the kids in our grade don't party, this is going to be juniors and seniors. we have to have a good rep with the upperclassman."

she sighs and looks at me.

"fine fine we can go."

"this party is in 2 hours so let's go." i grab her hand, pulling her down the hallway and to my room.

"i want to wear your black converse." sky says grabbing them off of my floor and sitting them on the bed.

"i'm wearing my blue air jordans."

we both walk to my closet and start picking out an outfit to wear. skyler picks out this darker pink tight silky dress that goes down to her knees and my black zip up jacket. i grab a black lace silky dress that goes to my lower thigh.

"damn max you look hot in that dress." skyler says as we both look into the mirror.

"bitch says you. that dress looks better on you than it ever has on me." i look at her, " i think you should keep your hair natural like that because it's wavy and the brown wavy hair goes with the outfit."

she nods and goes to my vanity to put on mascara and some eyeliner. i decide to keep my hair down and natural too.

"can you grab my phone max?" she says finishing her mascara. i finish up doing my mascara and grab her phone to hand it to her.

"what in the fuck? i know we did not just take 2 and a half hours to get ready and pick clothes holy shit." it's 9:23.

"i guess we better get goin then." skyler says grabbing her phone from me and putting on my converse. i tie my shoes and we walk out of my room.

my dad is at work so us sneaking to this party is going to be a lot easier. we walked outside of my house.

"uhm max. how exactly are we planning on getting there? neither of us can drive yet." skyler says after i shut the front door.

"shit i forgot i can't drive yet." i look around. "but good thing the party is only a couple blocks over." i say with a little grin on my face as we start walking.

you can tell when we get closer because there are a bunch of people outside of this huge ass house.

"max i'm starting to regret this." skyler says as we stand in front of the house. "we will be fine sky, let's go." i start walking to the entrance of the house and i walk in immediately getting a huge whiff of weed.

"holy shit." i say coughing a little from shock. we walk farther in getting weird looks here and there until this girl walks up to us with drinks in her hands.

"max and skyler right? i'm blake. we all have the same geometry class." the girl says a little loud over the music.

"oh yeah you sit behind us." i reply loudly so she can hear me.

"hey follow me and i'll take you to where me and a few friends hang out." she yells and grabs my wrist pulling me. i grab skylers arm so that i don't lose her in the crowd of people.

we get into this room and it's kind of away from all the people and it's just a few girls sitting on a couch talking and laughing.

"hey girls this is max and skyler, they are in my geometry class." blake says sitting down. "come on sit sit." she says patting spots on the other couch. me and skyler both sit down.
