Adrien's p.o.v

I leaned back against the buildings roof besides marionette's home. It was around 2am and I was patiently waiting for my lady's lights to go out. Instead of being on patrol, as was my usual excuse of being chat noir, I was watching my lady.

The night time wind blew through my hair and could be heard passing through the trees in the nearby park. I couldn't help but wonder what my lady had been doing to be up at 2 in the morning. Perhaps she was waiting for me? I smiled at the thought but nonetheless knew it wasn't true. Then again a cat can only dream.

I sighed looking up at the full moon that hung over the silent city of Paris.  The pale moon that watched me watch her from her neighbors roof across the street. Sometimes I could see her walk back and forth between her desk and drawers through her window. I starred intently, but I still couldn't find out what my love was working on, Everytime she passed she gathered something to bring to her desk. I wonder what it was.

As she was about to pass the window she yawned. Her bluebell eyes shut tight as she stretched and let her ravenette hair down. A smile crept up on my face the instant I saw her. I felt my heart skip a beat knowing she would be going to sleep soon. She captivated me with every move and I just couldn't stop thinking of how she was definitely the one for me. My Marinette.

I stood up seeing she had shut the lights off and presumably headed to bed. My doll was so cute when she slept, and it was the only time I could ever speak to her or be around her normally. Lately, she had been pulling all nighters such as this but it was always for diffrent school projects. This took time away from us, which I hated, buy I knew it wasn't her fault. And even if it was I couldn't be mad at her.  No, it was our hag of a chemistry teacher that I would have to deal with later in one way or another.

After 20 minutes of just starring at her window I was sure she had fallen asleep so with the help of my staff I quickly and quietly swooped onto her roof. My heart was beating wildly thinking of how I was going to get to see her again. She was the cutest when she slept! Especially in her chat Noir PJs!

I gently lifted the skylight door and happily peaked in. The door hung right above her bed, and she was thankfully fast asleep. I smiled at her lovingly even though she couldn't see it. Her soft pink lips were parted slightly and her chest was slowly rising and falling. She looked so fragile and precious. I just wanted to hold her and never let go. Milady who was so fragile and nieve to the world's cruelty.

I knew in the morning she would go back to school with Nathaniel and go visit luka. Thinking of that made my chest tighten and my smile fall. I hated them putting their hands all over MY Marinette. She doesn't know it yet, no one does, but I was made for her, and she was made for me.

I slowly let my hand down closer to her face to brush away a small bit of hair that had fallen onto her cheek. I loved it when she didn't turn away from my touch. How she wasn't scared of me being there beside her. She's the only one who really accepted me for who I was. The only one who really gets me and loves me regardless of my flaws.

For a long time I had debated on keeping her with me, taking her away from everyone's reach and having her as mine. I would be so happy that way. getting to hold her anytime I want and having her bake us delishous food and growing up having children; But I would feel sad knowing she might not like it so I decided id protect her from afar. For now at least.

I know my feelings for her may be.. a little intense. I would never want to scare my bugaboo off. But I can't help it, she's so heavenly and perfect. My ring and power granted me chaos, but I knew that I could protect her with that. I'd ruin everything that ever tried to hurt her or stand in the way of our love. We would have our own little home far away, and no one would ever set eyes on my princess ever again.

I smiled with the short daydream of the future. I promised myself and her that when the time is right I will steal her away and take her somewhere safe with me. I shook my head out of my trance and brought myself back to reality. This isnt the time for daydreams, not when I'm hear with my lady.

I smiled happily decided to check on what she was working on tonight, I'm sure she got it finished but if she didn't I'd gladly help. Hopping over her bed and silently landing on her floor I took a glance at her desk before walking over. Papers and pens were scattered across it but one thing in particular stood out, a box?

A box the size of my hand with red and black poka dot wrapping paper and a large black bow on top. There seemed to be a tag attatched to it.. Even though it was quite dark in her room, I could make out what it said with my night vision.

On it in marionette's handwriting neatly said, 'to Adrian Agrestte' her cursive was even more perfect than usual, and the name certainly caught me off guard. "To me.." I whispered as my eyes went wide. I jumped hearing a yawn. My eyes darted twords marinette who was now sitting up rubbing her eyes, it was pitch black in her room so she couldn't see me. The dim light from the moon that shined over her from the now open skylight above her bed was the only light that reached her. The confusion in her eyes as she starred at it half asleep was adorable but very concerning. I really wasn't supposed to be found out this way! "Is someone here?" She muttered looking around.

I stayed still starring at her as she tried to scan her room. "Hello?" She muttered rubbing her eyes and sitting up.

I needed to think of something quick. I quietly ran twords her desk hiding under it silently hoping she wouldn't come down and look.

I heard her lay lack down on her bed. I smiled imagining her sleepy face as she snuggled under her blankets. She was so adorable.

I quietly got up from under the desk letting out a small quiet sigh of relief. Glancing up at marinette I noticed she looked.. scared. Instead of snuggling up in her warm cozy blankets she looked like it was the only thing protecting her. Maybe she thinks I'm a monster?

I instantly felt awful as she backed up all the way onto her wall, her eyes were darting around the room even when she couldn't see anything. My heart sunk watching her, I could practically smell her fear. My lady should never be scared of me, I was the only thing keeping her safe, I was the only thing she needed. I frowned starring up at her silently  It was weird how even in such a situation she looked adorable.

I noticed a sudden change in her expression. As if she was internally arguing with herself, then she looked suddenly brave. Like a puppy barking with it's tail between it's legs she spoke; "I-i know someone's there! You've been coming here every night for a while haven't you? D-do you not have a place to sleep?" She asked quietly. Even in times like this she worries for others. She's so amazing. I smiled. Well I guess there's no point in keeping it secret now.

"Man, and I thought I was being quiet." I said in a jokingly sarcastic tone. I saw her face turn confused. "Are you a kid?" She asked sitting up. "I'm not a kid milady, I'm your age. I know I may sound cute and small but I'm actually taller than you. And no I'm not exactly here because I don't have a place to stay." I'm here because I can't stand to be a second without you, but of course I can't exactly say that. My lady would be scared.

"Then.. why are you here?" She said trying to seem brave. I could tell inside she was scared. Who wouldn't be? Most people wouldnt even have said anything. A strange person in your room at night who's motive is unknown. My lady is smart to be scared. "Lets just say... I'm your secret admirer." I smiled deciding it was a good enough excuse.

Her eyes lightened up and her face visibily relaxed. "Oh..." She mumbled tilting her head slightly. She looked relived in assuming that I wasn't there to hurt her. My lady trusts so easily, but I suppose it's okay since it's me. "Well can I see your face?" She asked leaning forward slightly. I chuckled quietly. "It wouldn't be much of a secret then would it?" Technically it still would, I doubt shed recognize me with my suit on. "Well I wanna know the person who's been protecting me." She smiled kindly. My heart practically melted. She was so kind. My perfect Marinette, I knew she would understand. She always made me go insane with the love I had for her.

"Well I can't show you my face, but my names Chat Noir."

Her bluebell eyes starred right at me unknowingly.

"Nice to meet you Chat."
