"Are you coming?" Marlene whines as I slam shut my trunk
"Yes, Wingardium leviosa" my trunk floats behind me and I walk out with her,
"did you get the ring?" I ask her and she dramatically nods. We walk out of the common room and see no one around,
"Do you think your dad will come?" Marlene asks, she and the girls were the only ones that knew about my family issues.
"I sent him 6 owls" I grumble and Marlene chuckles awkwardly and I glare at her,
"You're not joking?" She gasps
"I wish I was"
"Well if he forgets you come live with me" she demands
"I would love too," I say sarcastically as we walk to the train and she glares at me,
I throw my hands up in surrender "I'M JOKING" and she scoffs. We walk onto the train and I see Alice, Mary and Dorcas waving us over to sit down in their compartment. We cat-walk over to their compartment and put our trunks in the upper compartment and sit down.
"Could anyone be anymore dramatically then you too" Alice chuckles
"No," Marlene says and I flick my hair.
Mary rolls her eyes "Honestly you two"
"Sooo, exploding snap?" Dorcas asks and the compartment bursts into conversation.
~TRAIN RIDE ENDING~
"Hurry up Y\N" Dorcas whines
"I'm coming Cas!" I say, exasperated. I grab my trunk and catch up to Dorcas,
"You take your time" she mutters as we casually walk into the wall, I look around and see everyone's parents smiling and waiting patiently for their child to run up to them, but no sign of my dad.
"He's not here" I whisper,
"What?"
"My dad, he forgot"
"HE DID WHAT" Marlene yells from behind us and muggles turn their heads to look at us.
"Keep your voice down would you?" Dorcas whisper-yells at her, I see James looking at us and I just wave him away, which he ignores.
"Who did what?" he asks Marlene,
"Y\N'S DAD FUCKING FORGOT TO PICK HER UP" she yells again and Dorcas punches her shoulder
"Language!" she then turns to me, "If he lives to see you again I will shove my wand up his hairy as-"
"Your one to talk!" Marlene scoffs and they start bickering.
"Sooooooo," James says
"So," I say as James' parents walk over,
"Who's your friend James?" Mrs Potter asks,
"That's ridiculous James is only friends with those 3 boys-" Mr Potter starts before Mrs Potter hits him on the arm.
"This is Y\N White," he says
"As in Charles White?" Mr Potter asks
"Unfortunately" I mutter James and Mrs Potter give me a confused look but Mr Potter doesn't seem to hear me
"Where is the old chap anyway?" he asks rubbing his hands together
"Seems to have forgotten when I come home" I say and everyone in the Potter family look at me, suddenly they explode with 'he did not's and 'he wouldn't dare's at one point I even heard James said he would hex him in his sleep.
"Do you know somewhere you could go?" Mrs Potter asks me sweetly, I think for a moment and shake my head.
"I mean you could always come home with us?" James suggests and Mrs Potter grins
"Oh I've always wanted a daughter!"
"Thanks mum" James mutters and Mr Potter chuckles
"What do you say Y\N?"
I feel my smile widen into a grin "I'd love to"
