Kailie's P.O.V

I watched the two leave and slumped down onto the couch beside Josh and sighed, Broderick shifted so he was standing in front of me.

"Was it necessary to go that far and tell them that?" He asked quietly and crouched to my eye level knowing I was tired. I glanced away with a frown to hide the hurt in my eyes

"Yes, honestly it was, Broderick you don't understand how much it hurt her to see him every day and for him to treat her like she was just a normal vampire, like there was nothing between them." I squeaked out and hung my head with closed eyes as my hands clenched beside my sides, Victoria put her hand on my shoulder and gave me a gentle squeeze to know they were there for me. Broderick scooted closer to me and picked my head up gently getting me to open eyes.

"Yes I do, I was there with you all the time, I saw how hurt she was and I don't want you to feel that way just because of a mutt." He said with emotionless eyes but I could hear how much he cared in his voice, he gave me a gentle kiss and stood up "you know now that your the head you have a whole coven to greet, the meeting's tonight actually." He said looking away as he finished. My eyes widened and I stood up abruptly

"What?! It's tonight and you didn't tell me?!" I exclaimed with wide eyes, Josh got up with Victoria "whats tonight?" He asked curiously which got me to roll my eyes, leave it to Josh to forget nearly everything that doesn't include Victoria. I turned to look at him and put my hand on my hips

"Tonight I have to greet the whole coven and announce the Moon Rock pack as an enemy." I said and stuck out my tongue "and your not invited!" I tease and hurry away from him and go upstairs, hearing him stutter in confusion made me laugh as I got ready.

Broderick's P.O.V

I smile as I watch Kailie tease Josh and go upstairs laughing, knowing she was back to normal I looked at Josh and roughly punched his hurt shoulder making him hiss "She's kidding bro' you are coming" I laughed before walking away and going into the kitchen, grabbing some cold pizza before leaving to go get ready for the night tonights gonna be hella rough i thought as i went to my own home
