Zak stare at his phone, knowing deep down that looking would only make him more anxious, yet time felt like it was slow. It'd been around 8 minutes since he sent that risky message to bad, he still hadn't replied

Skeppys heart skipped a beat, he wiped his pathetic tears and opened teamspeak, joining the call.

he wasn't greeted with the cheery hi's or hellos he had been used to all that time ago

"hey bad"
"hello skeppy"
"bad i'm still really sorry-"
"no, don't be"
"okay"

there was an uncomfortable silence, neither boy knew what to say next, after all it'd been a year since their last proper conversation, Bad had skeppy blocked on every social media, yet he checked his account on an alt daily curious as to what the boy he once was completely smitten over was doing, and truth was, not much skeppy wasn't as active online as he used to be, his social activity only pricking up due to joining the dream smp

"how have you.... uh been" skeppy managed to form the words, a sweat broke on his head
"fine" bad was blunt, deep down he was still unsure of what caused him to act so bitter towards skeppy, because the truth was, bad wasn't even that bothered about the troll, maybe he was just a heartbroken boy who built up so much anger and hurt that when he was given the opportunity to have an outburst he had it

but he was too ashamed to admit that, too ashamed to admit he was in the wrong

"well, how's rat" skeppys desperately tried to make conversation
"she's really good" bad let out a chuckle, how could he not, it was his lucy!
"i missed hearing you laugh"
"you did?" bads voice had changed from the harsh one, now it was back to his normal cheery one. he was letting his guard down, he was so tired of pretending to hate the person he was infact once so in love with

"of course i did silly" skeppy giggled
"i really missed you skeppy" bad admitted, a rush of butterflies soon manipulated themselves into a swarm of anxiety flushing through him
"i missed you too, but bad, why didn't you just message me?"
"i- well, i suppose i'll explain to you some day skeppy"
"bad can we play some bedwars- uh- like the old days"
"of course we can you muffin" bad had a smile plastered over his face

He was thankful that dream added skeppy to the server, despite his frustration at first, maybe dream knew what he was doing; after all, he, sapnap and george weren't too happy when bad blocked skeppy, they told bad he was being over dramatic.

but the day bad admitted to dream that he did it because he was in love with skeppy, because he was upset skeppy didn't feel the same and he let it build up to a point of frustration, dream was more understanding and supportive, reassuring that bad could fix it when he was ready

bad was ready, now that he was over his feelings

but one issue

skeppy wasn't
