gravity falls au's

reverse falls

this is probably the most popular au and my personal favorite

so there's two versions of this au. the best way i know how to explain them is there is one where the characters are the reverse version of themselves, and the one where they are the reverse version of another character(i'll explain more). i think the two main differences between these versions would be the way pacifica appears, and mabel and dippers relationship

the first version is the one where each character is a different version of themselves. each trait of their personality and the way they feel about characters is flipped.

pacifica and gideon are the "protagonist" while dipper and mabel are the antagonist. pacifica is more of a hippie and her family is very loving, as opposed to their rich lifestyle and snobby personalities in the show. they travel around in a van. pacifica's used to traveling all the time. she occasionally misses her friends, but has gotten used to it.

once they get to gravity falls she meets a sweet kid named gideon. in gravity falls his parents are very kind even though he mistreats them, but in reverse falls it's the opposite. they often abuse him to get what they want, which is why he typically wears long sleeves. stanley is also gideon's uncle

pacifica finds a journal in the woods and eventually meets the pines twins. they own the Tent of Telepathy. they often try to steal the notebook from pacifica and gideon with the help of their insalved dream demon, Will Cipher.

Will is blue and his personality is the opposite of Bill. mabel is typically the one who uses him

unlike the loving relationship they have in gravity falls, mabel and dipper do not like each other in reverse falls. mabel is the leader of the twins and typically finds dipper annoying. dipper is very self absorbed but slightly jealous of mabel. he's very popular with the ladies and many times tries to get with pacifica.

mabel has a crush on gideon, but pacifica helps defend him. pacifica and mabel despise each other. mabel has a pig and pacifica has a chicken
