4th String: Thrown Into The Lion's Den

The two men blinked, and Leonel let out an embarrassed laugh as he went over to the closet and got his much needed underwear. And JR went out after saying, "I'll just get both of your uniforms, okay! BEHAVE!!" And shut the door. Natalie just shrugged and went to the other bathroom and showered. After showering, she took her undergarments from the Void and put them on. She also got a tank top and a pair of shorts, I mean really short shorts. The skirt was 2 inches above the knee, as Leonel had told her.

Not long after she finished changing, she heard a knock on the bathroom door. "Um, Natalie?" It was Leonel. "Your uniform is outside the bathroom door. You can just get it right now. Don't worry, I won't look."

Natalie wasn't sure if she was going to believe him. "Promise?"

"I promise," Leonel said and she heard him sigh. Natalie walked over to the door and opened it slightly. She saw Leonel's back and when she looked down, there lay her uniform. She felt a bubble of excitement inside her stomach as she put it on.

"Uh, okay, I'm um, dressed!" She said and Leonel turned around. He smiled at her and said, "it looks good on you."

She blushed. She wasn't really used to people telling her that directly. But since she was a vampire, and her body temperature was low, the blush didn't show much. But before the situation gets more awkward than it already is, JR appeared and smiled at them both. "Oh, you're both done. Good! Here, just take these," he handed them lunchboxes and some money. "And... Off you go!"

He pushed the two outside his 'office' saying, "Good luck! Enjoy!" And before the two could react, JR already shut the door in their faces.

"So..." Natalie began, and she smiled nervously at Leonel. "Um, let's go?" Leonel nodded and smiled back. The two strode down the path ahead of them.

Natalie had felt something weird. A part of her was excited and yet... Another one was wary and cautious. It was like she was stepping into a mouse trap. But of course she brushed it off.

Now, now. This won't kill me. She thought to herself and continued to walk, not aware of the danger she was putting herself in.

Natalie was shocked when Leonel led them both to a stop. Why? Because there, in front of them, stood a massive blue gate, with a symbol of the school. Her eyes widened when she saw the symbol. No. It just can't be. It was too coincidental. She stared at the symbol in horror as something flashed inside her mind. A part of her was terrified.

No. It might not be what I think it is. I just have to think positively. I'm safe, I'm not in danger. This is just an ordinary school. Where the students learn Math and History and Science and all those things.

"Okay, this is where we go," Leonel said. He smiled at her when he noticed her shaking slightly and put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, it would be okay."

Leonel turned to the door again, and breathed out. He was curious. Why was Natalie.... Like... Like that? Why did she seem uh, horrified of the gate? The symbol was cool! Or so he thought. It was obvious that Natalie was scared of it. He couldn't really blame her, though. Seeing the symbol intimidate people quickly, and some new students even stare at it in surprise. But Natalie's reaction was weird. He had not seen anyone act so scared of the Group before. Maybe it just had something to do with her past. Although his curiosity was pushing him to ask Natalie of so many questions, he resisted. He would wait when she was ready to tell him, and besides, they hadn't even known each other for a day! He practically had no right to barge into her private life just yet.
