THE FIRST RHYTHM THE TWINS GOT USED TO WAS THE ONE OF DUSK AND DAWN. They came each night, one putting the end to a day and the other a beginning. Dawn symbolised the beginning of a day. Fanning rays of the sun, stretching upwards towards the never-ending blue. Warmth of the day basking the surrounding greenery in delight. Dusk marked the end of a day, setting the never-ending blue ablaze, opalescent sky burning with the flames of dusk.
Lustrous play of colours stretching across the horizon, resembling angels' wings, bathing in the fiery hell.
Dusk did not differ from dawn, their relationship; a resemblance akin to that of Midori and Naito's. Though those wings of angels' were present at both dusk and dawn, their meaning shifted. Naito and Midori were no different. Twins, they had shared everything in their life, locked in an endless chase, oblivious to their goal. Just like the sun and the moon, one chased the other ran, one ran towards, the other ran away, which was which?
