Hello to everyone reading. Thank you all so much for 36k reads! Never would I have imagined that my fanfiction from 2021 would get this many reads. I would like to say though, as it is from 2021, i decided to rewrite it to the best of my ability without changing the plot or script too much. Therefore, it might not be the best piece of work you'll find on here as 13 year old me was a cringy bugger.
Thanks again - Bex x

There I was again,  on September 1st, stood on platform 9 and 3/4's freezing my tits off as the rain toppled down off the station roof. I waited patiently for my friends to arrive and tell me about their summers as, for some reason, I hadn't heard from them in weeks.

My summer had been less than pleasant due to the rising tensions in my house, caused predominantly by my parents. Things were getting worse. My mother was out of the house most of the time. A of  series "business trips" she called it. We all knew what she was actually doing of course, she was meeting up with her affair partner, David (who's also married). From the minute she stepped into our house, the arguments would start. They'd be at it for hours, screaming, and of course I'd be brought into it,  "and see that daughter we have?" my father shouted,  pointing to my place on the stairs, "she's just like you all over again! poison! an evil witch!". My eyes closed at the thought.

Six minutes till the train left and I was stood, melted into place, wating on Fred and George, who were obnoxiously late. I was turning my face towards the train that was pulling into the platform when I felt a hand on top of each shoulder. "heyy Em!" Fred exclaimed, pushing down my shoulders as he jumped behind me. once he retreated from my shoulders, I turned to face them to which they pulled back in return, eyes widening.

"what's wrong?" I questioned, drawing my eyebrows in as I crossed my arms.

"n-nothing.." George started, "its just, you look so different from how you usually look"

I stood, saying nothing, wondering if I'd just been insulted. After quickly looking between George and I, Fred interjects, patting my arm, "in a good way of course. You look more grown up, you've grown into yourself is what he was trying to say".

I roll my eyes playfully, "okay okay, lets just get on the train before we're left with no option but to do something stupid like fly your dads car to Hogwarts".

"like what Ron and Harry did that one time?" Fred chuckles.

"Yes! exactly like that!, now lets go" I say signalling them to move towards the train.

" oh Freddy," George says with a fake sad tone, "our girl is now all grown up... a picture of woman hood one would say" he continues.

"I never thought the day would come" Fred says wiping a fake tear after nudging George.

"Bastards, the both of you" I say, pulling myself onto the train.

"I beg your pardon?" Fred protested, following behind me, "we are proper gentlemen!"

"yeah yeah, whatever you say"..

I stared out the cloudy window, thinking of nothing in particular before a thought came to mind. "where is Harry, Ron, Ginny and Hermione?", I hadn't seen them on the platform, never mind getting on the train.

"They got to the platform earlier than us so they probably just went straight on the train and got some seats" Fred shrugged, the current topic seemed to remind George of something as he suddenly had a sly grin plastered over his face. "why are you smiling like that??" I say, side eyeing him curiously.
