"y/n?", iruka called out as she was on her way to the hokage's building

the girl turned around, giving him a smile, "iruka hi!"

"how are you?"

"good", she smiled, "how's everything at the academy?"

"um", he looked at her apprehensively, "that's actually what i wanted to talk to you about"

"yeah?", she asked, confused, "what's up?"

"ikashi got into a fight yesterday", he shook his head, "with some older kids at the academy"

"he didn't tell me that!", she exclaimed, looking alarmed, "what happened?"

"they were picking on him about something", he explained, "and then it turned into a whole issue."

"wait but ika seemed fine yesterday", she wondered out loud

"that's because...."

"hmm?"

"he isn't the one that got hurt"

"huh?"

"one of the kids got a broken nose"

"ika did WHAT?!"

"he's okay now. i expected ikashi to be gifted", iruka shrugged, "he's your and kakashi's child after all"

"i'll talk to him when i get home", she sighed, "thank you for telling me though. i'm sorry for the trouble."

"no worries"

y/n continued walking, bursting through the hokage's office to see kakashi.

"woah, you're in a mood", kakashi remarked

"your son", y/n narrowed her eyes, "got into a fight yesterday"

"........."

"..did he win?"

"KAKASHI", she gave him an exasperated look before relaxing her features, "yeah he won"

"that's my boy", he chuckled, "don't stress so much. i'm done with work anyway. let's go."

the two walked home, contemplating how to tackle the situation.

"ika!", y/n called out, "where are you?"

"here", ika walked into the room looking dull, "hi mommy"

"sit down", she said, and he followed.

"did you get into a fight yesterday?"

he stared at the ground, realising he was in trouble. "yes"
