A lot of the jounins were dismissed with the only people left being units that wanted to see who'd be selected, the exam proctors, and the jounin senseis.
"Alright, it is time we chose our candidates for the chunin examination." Hokage-sama said, " To begin, will those in charge of the rookie genins step forward?"
Kakashi-sensei, Asuma-sensei, and Kurenai(I don't respect her sorry not sorry) stepped forward.
"Kakashi, Kurenai, and Asuma." Hokage-sama started, "What do you say? Are there any in your squads you'd recommend who are ready for the exams despite their inexperience? As you know, any genin who has carried out 8 or more missions is technically eligible for the examinations. Beyond that, only you can decide when they are ready." He looked at me.
That's my signal. I appeared in front of his desk holding 9 real and 1 fake form. The fake one was mine. They had the number of missions each genin had completed. All more than 8.
"This means that all of your genins are eligible, and it's now up to you whether or not they can take the exam. So Kakashi, you begin." I disappeared once again. Why am I doing this again? This is boring. Oh, right I owe him. Damn that stupid old man.
"I lead squad seven, Sasuke Uchiha. Ryuu Sencha(not my real last name), Sakura Haruno, Naruto Uzumaki. I Kakashi Hatake recommend all there of these genins for the chunin selection exams."
I heard Iruka-sensei gasp.
"And my squad is number eight. Hinata Hyuuga, Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame. And now I, Kurenai Yuhi, recommend all three."
"And my squad is number ten. Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akamichi. And now I, Asuma Sarutobi, recommend all three."
I stopped paying attention to them and their petty arguments. That was until I was brought up.
The Hokage did a hand signal to summon me and at the same time silencing everyone in the room. I appeared kneeling before him.
"Iruka. If it will make you feel better, I'll have a test for them. Ryuu-Kun can carry it out for me and we'll watch with the crystal ball. Is that satisfactory for all?"
No one said anything. "Good. Ryuu-Kun." I straightened up and tensed. "Go easy on them. They aren't ANBUs. Nothing life-threatening and nothing that will injure anything but their egos."
"Hai, Hokage-sama." Everyone seemed shocked to hear how young and monotone my voice sounded, even Kakashi was slightly surprised.
"We will commence this test after you tell your teams about the chunin exams." Everyone nodded.
Timeskip to after the genin teams knew about the exams:
"Go now," Hokage-sama ordered.
I nodded and vanished.
Hokage's POV
"How will he find them Hokage-sama?" Kurenai, a new jounin asked.
"He's the best sensor we have in the village currently," I responded.
Everyone seemed shocked at that.
Everyone gathered around the crystal ball as it changed to show Ryuu transforming into a mist ninja.
"What's he gonna do?" Questioned a chunin.
"We'll have to wait and see," I said.
Ryuu's POV
Stupid old man making me do this. Oh well. Hmm. what should I do?
I got it! I'll transform into a mist ninja. Alright, let's find Naruto first. I transformed into the mist ninja, found Naruto chakra, and sped off in that direction. I found Naruto with Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon. I snuck down and grabbed Moegi.
"Ahh. Naruto help!" Moegi shouted getting his attention. I ran off.
When he 'caught up' he 'distracted me' and switched Moegi out with a straw person.
"I only see two dummies." Naruto said before he charged at me and 'beat me'. He then tied me up. When Konohamaru and Udon caught up, I used them as a distraction, escaped the ropes, and climbed a tree. I searched for the chakra signature from the crystal ball, looked up, and gave a thumbs up for Naruto.
Hokage's POV
After the test was complete Ryuu looked directly at the crystal ball and gave a thumbs up,
"Looks like Naruto passed his test," I said.
Everyone nodded slightly shocked at how quickly he thought of such a thorough plan. We watched a Ryuu transformed into Sasuke and ran off again.
Ryuu's POV
Next up is Sakura. This will be easy, I'll just transform into Sasuke. I did just that and ran off in another direction. I saw Sakura going down a street and walked on the opposite side going in the other direction.
"Sasuke!" She called out to me.
"Oh, hi Sakura. I was just looking for you. We need to talk about the chunin exams."
"Oh, um, ok." She replied as we started walking to an empty raining field.
"Listen, I don't think you should do the Chunin exams. I just don't want you to get hurt and I don't think you're ready." I set up the genjutsu.
"Oh." She said a bit upset.
Sebon needles came flying out of the trees and stuck down the illusion of Sasuke that I replaced myself with. The illusion lied there dead and Sakura got on her knees and started crying, though I could tell it was fake.
"Nice try, but I know that this is all a genjutsu, so you should just come out." An illusion of the mist ninja came out and started taunting her.
"All of this would be true, but you're not real. Your just an illusion. Just like Sasuke was."
"How can you be so sure? What if I did this." The illusion there a kunai at her. She didn't flinch and it passed right through her.
"Hmm. You're better than I thought." The illusion said then disappeared.
I gave another thumbs up to the Hokage.
Hokage POV
"Another passed," I said
"Yeah," Kakashi said with a little bit of pride that I could just barely detect.
Ryuu POV
Ok, now for Sasuke. I already did taijutsu for Naruto and genjutsu for Sakura. So, I'll do ninjutsu for Sasuke.
I transformed back into the mist ninja and quickly found Sasuke. I snuck behind I'm and made a dull water bullet jutsu so the worst that could happen to him was a bruise. I was slightly surprised when he dodged it in time and threw a great fireball jutsu at me. Welp that concludes my test. I switched places with a log and went back to the Hokage's office.
Timeskip:
When I arrived in the Hokage's office I was kneeling in front of his desk.
"Stand and give me your report."
"I tested each genin in their own individual strength while using their greatest weakness. For Naruto, his greatest weakness is his lack of thinking before doing, but his strength is shadow clones and taijutsu. He was able to think up a plan to distract me and get Moegi to safety before fighting me. While I noticed this, a genin to mid chunin leveled ninja would not of. He passed. Sakura Haruno's greatest weakness is her love for Sasuke and her greatest strength is finding genjutsus and her brains. She deduced the genjutsu even though it was of her beloved Sasuke getting killed. She passed. Sasuke Uchiha's greatest weakness is his cockiness and his greatest strength is his ninjutsu. Even though he could tell the jutsu would barely bruise him he still dodged before he created his own jutsu and fired it at me. He passed." I explained without taking any breaths, breaks, and keeping a monotone voice the whole time.
"Good. Are we all satisfied." Hokage- sama asked everyone.
No one responded so I was dismissed with the wave of a hand. Finally, I can go to bed.
