° y/n's pov °

    [.° 1 am friday.°]

  you placed your arms behind your head and leant back in the chair. you still had tons of homework to catch up on and you were failing english. surprise surprise,, didn't think it could happen since you speak it fluently. [i don't need to know no english]

   you massaged your cramped hands, preparing to do the next sh¡t load of work. suddenly, your phone buzzed on the bed, nearly jumping up and down. groaning, you moved my wheelie chair over to the bed and picked up the device.

   .°•.° my bby .°•.° is calling ...

    a sudden burst of adrenaline ran through your body as you quickly answered the call. " heyy!" you stammered, shoving the phone towards your ear, your smile being uncontrollable.

    " hey." your lover responded on the other end. " so i was thinking about us and.." your heart dropped to your feet, the worst taking over my thoughts. would he break up with me? ".. i noticed we never went on a former date. soo, where do ya wanna go?" a wave of relief washed over your body. " hm, i don't know. you pick!" you told him, knowing that you personally couldn't choose between the five favorite restaurants.

   you heard kenma sigh and click his tongue. " alright, i'll come get you tomorrow, k?" you fiddled with your blouse and agreed. " i loveee you!" you cooed, kissing the phone for him. he mumbled something inaudible as you heard giggles and whispers in the back ground. " love you, by-" he cut himself off and you pulled the phone away from your ear. rolling your eyes, you saw him type " i love you more". satisfied, you rolled back to the desk and continued working on the homework.

[.° 9 am saturday .°]

     you stretched your arms above your head and yawn. turning over, you hover your hand over your phone on the nightstand,, turning off the alarm. sighing, you push yourself off the comfortable bed and allow your feet to hit the floor.

after a few hours of just rambling to yourself, eating, playing video games, and procrastinating about the upcoming monday, you decide it's time to get dressed.

     smoothing down your jeans, you take a good look at yourself. you have a stripped long sleeve on, the shirt stopping just underneath your belly button. your ripped jeans hug your legs, cuffed at the bottom. and of course, the same black and white vans you always wear.

  [.° 2 pm saturday .°]

     finally, the time came for kenma to come pick you up. he couldn't drive but he was going to walk you to the restaurant. taking one last 10 minute look in the mirror, you decide that you look good enough.

you kick the tiny pebbles around on the gravel, waiting for him to come. the date was scheduled to be around 2:30, considering the fact you guys were going to be on the boardwalk. you check your phone for the time. obviously, you regretted that because you were slowly filling with irritation. you had gotten dressed and 'prettied' up just for it to be 3 pm. and kenma was no where in sight.

slumping into the couch cushions, you threw your jacket on the coffee table. it was 4 pm and kenma hasn't even texted you. picking up your phone and keeping yourself from calling him on the spot and yelling at him, you scroll through social media. liking a few posts, reading a few posts, and checking up on your friends. finally you decided that you didn't deserve to stay up waiting for him. you clicked on his contact and listened to the ringing tone.

" hello?"

" kenma, where the he!! are you?"

" what do you mean?"

" you were supposed to be here at 2.. it's 4:55."

" what? is something special happening?"

you sucked in your breath, refraining from screaming at him.

" yes, kenma. we were supposed to go on a dATE. today."

" oh, i completely forgot. what about tomorrow, hm?"

you've got to be fvcking kidding.
