Unfortunately they were caught making out in the office and someone leaked it.

Tzuyu grew tired of the attention she was getting from her old office mates so she's now working here.

But as far as we know they're still together.

As we were about to go on another topic an MC came up on the little stage and began testing the mic before formally starting the event.

Then, our CEO, Mr. Myoui came up next and greeted us.

Then we finally understood what this event is about.

"I'm now retiring as CEO."

All of us were shock by it, I can tell some wanted to protest.

"Why are you all shock? I'm old enough to retire." Some of us laugh because of that.

"Did you know?" Tzuyu asked me.

"No, he didn't tell me." I shook my head.

Mr. Myoui proceeded with his speech about his time in the company and his experience and all of that.

"But don't worry, I will leave you in good hands."

Some asked who it was.

"My daughter, Mina, though I'll be introducing her to you later, she's running a bit late." He chuckled.

After that we started to eat, I can see from where I was sitting that Mr. Myoui was mingling around.

"Hey Y/n, let's get some food." Chae said while they all stood up.

"You guys go on ahead, I'll just talk to big boss." I said, standing up too.

They just nodded, "I'll get you a plate, with a little bit of anything, sounds good?" Jihyo offered.

"Yeah, thanks Ji." She nodded and went to the buffet table.

I headed towards to Mr. Myoui.

He noticed me while he was talking to the director, he patted director Heon's shoulder, dismissing him.

"Y/n!" He greeted before patting me on the back.

"Sir." I bowed.

"Why didn't you tell me? About your retirement?" I asked.

He smiled, "Sit down first. You want a drink? I opened my favorite bottle of cognac for this occasion."

I nodded and he asked for another glass for me.

"Well," he started, "I wanted it to be a surprise."

"I'm more than surprised, sir, believe me."

"Well, it just mostly slip off my mind."

I nodded, "Understandable sir."

"Don't worry, my daughter is as capable as me, maybe even better."

"Where is she?" I wanted to get acquainted with my new boss.

"Ehh, she's a bit late."

I frowned a bit, capable huh?

"I guess I'll meet her when she arrives sir. I'll return to my friends for a while."

He nodded and I finished my drink before going back to my table, Jihyo already had my plate ready.

We started eating while still talking about random things.

I saw Mr. Myoui's bodyguard whisper something before Mr. Myoui gone out of the room.

His daughter is probably here.

I was about to stand up towards the bathroom when my phone rang.

I read the name Im Nayeon.

The function hall was busy and a bit loud so I went out and excuse myself.

"I think the new boss is here, you're gonna miss that?"

"I'll be right back." I said.

I immediately answered Nayeon's call as soon as I went out.

"Nay?"

"Y/n! You need to come here at the hospital now!"

"Why? What happened?" I worriedly asked.

"It's about her."

"I'm on my way." I ended the call and got out of the building and hailed a cab towards the hospital.

I rushed to her room, it's been 30 minutes since Nayeon called.

I saw Nayeon outside, probably waiting for me.

"How is she?" I immediately asked her.

"She's okay now." She sighed, "Another seizure, it's the third time this month."

"Fuck." I cursed, putting my hand on my head to brush it back and slightly pulling it out of frustration.

"She's getting worse Y/n." Nayeon said.

I just clenched my jaw.

"How's that plan for US?"

"It's undergoing, it'll take a long time for her to be transferred."

I nodded, "Is she awake?" Nayeon shook her head. "Could I come in?" She nodded.

"I'll try to visit you later, I still have to assist Doc Yoo in a surgery." She said looking at her watch.

I nodded, "Okay, goodluck." I said before going inside the room.

Nayeon is a surgical nurse, I met her during College days.

I came in the room, she was there sleeping on her bed, suffering.

I sighed and took a chair and sat beside her bed.

"I'm sorry, Miyoung." I said clasping her hand.
