Before the voice could criticize itself anymore, another voice cut through the inky shadows, this one being that of a young male.
??? (Male): "(*muffled*) Um..? Is there someone out there?"
The first mysterious voice gasps in surprise. Now seeing an opportunity to escape this void, it calls out to the new voice.
??? (Female): "Hello!? Can you hear me!?"
The other voice says nothing for a few moments before responding.
??? (Male): "Yeah, I can hear you, but where are you!?"
??? (Female): "I'm right here! Please help me!"
??? (Male): "I would, but I don't know where "right here" is!"
??? (Female): "I'm down here!"
The inky, black void is indeed shown to be a dark, murky underwater bed. At the bottom of said bed is a sword, which glows whenever the female voice speaks.
??? (Male): "In the lake?"
??? (Female): "Yes! Yes, the lake! I am resting just below the shore! Please get me out!"
??? (Male): "Now, hold on. How do I know this isn't a trick?"
??? (Female): "Can you hear the desperation in my voice!? I am pleading to you, whoever you are! I beg of you, please pull me out of this underwater prison!"
