The Assassin

Part 3 ~ Chapter 21

The blade that was stabbed into the sniper glistened against the moonlight. The floor around the sniper had turned wet with blood. The silence was broken by the voice that came over the sniper's com. "Time for plan B. Take the target down." The com was held in one hand and the sniper rifle removed from the body in the other. The battle was in slight chaos at the time but when Ari got to his feet the com in hand once again broke the silence. "What are you waiting for shoot him!"

A smirk before leaning against the sword still in the sniper's body. Pressing the button on the com as a low crackling silence went across the com before taking a breath to break the silence. "Sorry but your sniper's already been dealt with Bloody."

"Who the hell are you and what do you mean they are dealt with."

"It was fairly self-explanatory Imitator, cause it means I've killed them. But it's disheartening you don't realize who I am... since you had been posing as me for some time, I would have thought you've done your research. After all, I'm well aware of you, and I know you and your organizing consider me to be your worst nightmare since I've hunted down some of your agents in the last few months after what you've done."

"The Assassin... You're still alive?!" Bloody muttered as they glanced up at the building. The blade was removed from the body before flicking it causing the blood on the blade to splatter across the ground, the rifle secured with the strap ready to join the fight.

"Whoever said I was dead?"

With a jump down from the building and going across rooftops and light posts to eventually land onto the battlefield. Dressed in black with a new outfit from what was worn before in front of Ari, before lunging at Bloody. With a powerful sidekick sending Bloody flying into the Imitator.

"Assassin!"

"Good to see you as well but let's continue this conversation later as there are more important matters. Cat take Ari out of here but stay close enough to use this sniper as back up. Night, we'll deal with Bloody and Imitator."

"Got it."

Alex took the sniper and grabbed Ari before disappearing. With quick action the battle began once more blades clashing, blood getting spilt as the fighting got more and more intense. After sometime Cat fired the first shot clipping Bloody's leg. They clicked their tongue and jumped back. "Imitator we are retreating we are outnumbered." Bloody hissed Imitator nodded and kicked Roy back.

"Till next time."

"You are not getting away!"

With a snap of Bloody's fingers, the Chimaera appeared and attacked Night. "Night!"

"Cover our escape."

A tight grip of the sword before the attack against the Chimaera. "Night get up to Cat. I'll hold it back before joining you."

"But!"

"That's an order now go! Leave them, for now, the mission is more important than settling a score." With that Roy left to join Alex on the rooftop. Alex was giving some cover fire but not for long as her line of sight was blocked.

The chimera's attacks were vicious, to say the least. "Katia!" But nothing happened as the attacks were still coming. "Katia!" Then the chimaera was knocked to the side, quickly returning to the rooftop to join up with the others well aware the chimaera would likely follow.

"What now?"

"The chimaera won't give up. We'll either kill it or drive it off. When it reaches the roof fire at it till I give the signal."

It wasn't long till the Chimaera arrived to a rain of gunfire that pelted it, but this couldn't go on forever. Slightly droned out in the folly of gunfire rang out, "Katia knock it down!" with that a signal to stop firing was raised. "Everyone get down!" All going to the ground on their stomachs as a dark figure flew over them and slammed into the Chimaera knocking it from the building.
