"Aren't you supposed to be with Wesley today?"  My sister asked.

We were sitting at the table eating breakfast, and I really wasn't in the best of moods.  "He won't be here until noon." I mumbled, taking a bite of my cereal.

She just glared at me.  "Well, I've been there, done that.  I guess it runs in the family." Her voice mocked a sarcastic tone.

"It's way too early for this, Amy."

She flicked a golden blonde lock over her shoulder.  "I'm just saying.  If you remember, I dated the guy."

"Yeah, and he dumped you because you were too clingy."

She scoffed.

I smirked.  "I'm just saying."

She rolled her eyes and stood from the table.  "Whatever.  You can have him."

She walked off, and about that time I heard the door bell.  "Anna, Wes is here!"  Amy's voice carried down the hall and into the kitchen.

As I took the last bite of my cereal, Wes came into the kitchen.  "Hey," I said as I put my bowl in the sink.  "I thought you were coming a little later?"

He shrugged.  "No one is home, and I got bored."

"Wow, I'm glad you didn't pick me first." I say sarcastically.

He mocks my sarcasm with a sarcastic laugh.  "For your information, I was supposed to hang out with Drew today.  But I chose you over my best friend.  This is the part where you jump in my arms and tell me I'm the best."  He opened his arms for a hug.

"But you're not..." I teased and wrinkled my nose.

He dropped his arms to his sides.  "Oh, but I am."

"Sure.  So, what's on today’s agenda?"

He smirked.  "We are going surfing."

I snorted.  "But I don't know how."

"That's the fun part!  I'm going to teach you."

I shrugged.  "I guess I don't really have a choice, do I?"

He shook his head, grin still playing on his lips.  "Go get your bathing suit on.  I have a wet suit for you, and Keaton said you could borrow his board."

"Lovely." I mumbled and walked around him.  I ran up to my room, and slipped out of my night clothes.  I rummaged through my drawers and found the bikini I've never worn.  It was just a basic black one, nothing special.

I pulled the tags off, and hurried to put it on.  I put on a pair of shorts, and a tank top before I joined Wes back down stairs.  Of course, Amy would make sure he was occupied.  "I'm ready." I sang.  Wes waved to Amy, and we started walking away.  "Hey, Wes!" It was Amy's voice coming up from behind us.  Wes stopped and turned to face her, and so did I.  "You're still coming to the beach tomorrow, right?" She smiled and twirled a piece of hair around her finger.  She's desperate.

Wes shrugged.  "I don't know."

"What's at the beach tomorrow?" I asked, and Amy glared at me.

Wes turned to face me.  "It's just like a small party, I guess.  I wasn't going to go, but if you want to go, we can."

We?  It just sounded a bit weird for my taste.  "Um, maybe.  If you want to go, you can.  I don't need to go with you."
