A giggle escaped me as I hid underneath the table, a tablecloth hanging over the edges giving me coverage.
"Oooooh, Zofuku~" a sweet woman's voice soothed out, "Come out, come out, where ever you are~" another giggle escaped as her feet came into view under the hem of the cloth. "Is Fuku...here?" She bent over and looked under the shorter coffee table that was on the right of the woman, the table I was under on her left. I took the chance and crawled out from my hiding spot and ran down the hall and took a left toward the kitchen. A tall, black-haired man with a bulky stature stood over the kitchen sink doing the dishes. Hearing my thumping footsteps, the man looked over his right shoulder at me as my sock-covered feet slid on the tile floor. A chuckle came from the man.
"Is Fuku hiding from Mommy?" he asked childishly. I nodded with a wide grin, hearing the said person walking down the hall I just came from. I ran to the left, past Daddy, and toward the living room. Four young adults were sitting and chatting, though I was more focused on finding a hiding spot. I walked up to the blonde man, who had some of his hero attire laying on the couch next to him, he wore yellow-tinted glasses, a white polo shirt with a pair of leather pants. His speaker sat on the table in front of him, with the last piece of his outfit on the couch; his leather jacket. My sudden appearance made the four, 4 years out of UA High, adults turn toward me.
"Hey, Zofuku," a black-haired woman with red-tinted glasses, and a leather jacket on, with a proper shirt on, since her usual costume was very revealing, greeted. A magenta-haired woman sat next to her, her eyes the color of the sea and emeralds. I smiled at them.
"Oh, Zofuku~ Mommy's gonna tickle you when she finds you~" the dark, brunette woman cooed out, making me giggle and scramble up onto the couch, using the Voice Hero's jacket as cover. A couple of laughs from the blonde and noirette alerted the brunette a good idea of where her daughter was. I felt her presence hovering over my head, making me giggle. "Strange... I don't remember Hizashi's jacket being able to laugh." The jacket was flung off me, revealing an emerald-eyed, beautiful woman leaning over the couch with a wide smile. "There's My Fuku!" She cheered before she started tickling my sides. Laughter erupted from me as I tried getting away from her, though Uncle Hizashi and Auntie Nemuri were laughing too, the black-haired, aloof adult just observing the scene in front of him with a small interest in his charcoal eyes, the most minuscule smile hiding behind his binding cloth.
"Mommy!" I cried out, followed by laughing as she started blowing raspberries on my neck. She stopped suddenly, letting me take a breather. "Mommy! You know I am ticklish!" I giggled out, though the scene around me changed, the once bright room with my favorite people, was now a dim-lit room, dust covering the steel tables that were lined up in neat rows, two of them had a large object covered in plastic on each of them. I strolled closer, the room creeping me out. Once the tables were on either side of me, I recognized the shape of someone laying on their back, though the plastic-covered their entire body, including their faces, the dark brunette and black hair of them the only thing showing. "Mommy? Daddy?" I whispered, my chest clenching as I recognized the sleeping figures.
"Zofuku..." I turned my head, a dark silhouette standing in front of the light that poured into the darkroom, though the figure resembled that of Uncle Hizashi.
"Uncle...Hizashi? W-Why are Mommy and Daddy sleeping in here?" I asked as I walked closer to him. He squatted down, reaching my level.
"Th-They're not sleeping, they..." his voice trembled, forcing him to stop as I saw tears in his eyes. "I don't know how to tell you this..." Tears streamed down his face as he faced the ground.
"T-Tell me what?" I asked nervously, tearing up myself. A few silent moments passed before the hero composed himself.
"That Mommy and Daddy aren't coming home," he confirmed, taking a few deep breaths afterward.
